Zachary "Zak" Ramsey (previously Barnes) was a student at Hollyoaks Community College from 2004 to 2005, and 2006 to 2008. He later went on to date Michaela McQueen, but began behaving erratically due to grief after the death of his brother: proposing to Michaela and then cheating on her. He moved to London with Kris Fisher and Jake Dean in August 2010, and was later joined by Michaela.

Background Information[]

  • Zak was axed by executive producer Jo Hallows in early 2005.
  • Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood asked actor Kent Riley to reprise the role of Zak to be introduced alongside a new student group in 2006, to which Riley agreed.
    • Zak's surname was changed from "Barnes" to "Ramsey", as Kirkwood's predecessor/Hallows's successor David Hanson had introduced the unrelated Barnes family in the interim period.
  • Zak was axed for a second time by new series producer Paul Marquess as part of a mass-cast cull in 2010.
