An unnamed vicar presided over the funeral of Jill Osborne in October 2000. He was notably accidentally knocked unconscious after being struck with the coffin. In April 2001, the vicar christened Zara Morgan and baby Tom Cunningham in a joint-ceremony; the disastrous event peaking with the vicar setting his sleeve on fire on the altar candles. In July 2001, the vicar was called by Anna Green, who was struggling to decide whether to abort her unborn baby or carry it to term. He then visited Gordon Cunningham to inform him that he had read last rites to councillor Charlie Brooks, who died hours later.
In October 2003, soon-to-be-wed Izzy Cornwell and Ben Davies visited the vicar to discuss Izzy's decision to ban sex until they married. In July 2005, the vicar booked Jake Dean and Becca Hayton a quick wedding for 25th August, which became a joint affair when Jake's mother Frankie decided to marry Jack Osborne.
