Troy was an Australian immigrant and the husband of Precious, marrying Precious to remain in England after the immigration office discovered that Troy did not have a visa.
Troy worked as a model for Burton Phillips's agency, Gloss, and was also an aspiring actor. Troy was tricked by Burton into starring in gay pornography, so Troy quit working for Burton. Through Precious, Troy met Orson Buxton, who offered him a role in his upcoming film, which Troy accepted. Troy was initially disappointed at how little his role was, but he was noticed by producer Martin Sinclair (whom Orson invited to the film's screening). Martin offered Troy a main role in a major film, inviting him to participate in a screen test with an A-list actor. Troy and Precious were thrilled to learn that the A-list was Heath Ledger - and Troy would be playing his brother. However, Troy received a letter from the immigration office, informing him that he would be deported as he did not have a visa. Precious came up with the idea that if they married, they could convince the immigration office to allow Troy to stay. Troy discovered a box of pictures of Troy, which had been removed from the wall as Precious wanted to hide the fact that she was obsessed with Troy. However, Troy thought it was cool and helped Precious put them back up. Troy and Precious married, and Troy convinced the immigration office that their love was genuine - allowing Troy to remain in the country.
Troy received a phone call from his father, informing him that his fifteen-year-old brother, Timmy, had discovered a video of Troy in gay porn. He disowned Troy so Troy confronted Burton at the office. When Burton couldn't care less, Troy punched him and threw him through a window, before beating him up, demanding that the video was taken down. Troy became upset that his family back in Australia had rejected him and began pushing Precious away.
