Susan Arkwright is a hotel manager who gave Maxine Minniver a tour of the hotel, where Maxine and her fiancé Damon Kinsella had booked for their wedding. Maxine, Damon and Maxine's bridesmaids Sienna Blake and Grace Black were all impressed with the venue, but Maxine and Damon were horrified that Damon had only paid half of the £14,000 venue cost. Maxine (suffering from Munchausen Syndrome - unknown to everyone) faked a seizure. Susan realised that she recognised Maxine from the TV appeal on This Morning, and told Maxine and Damon that her husband had donated to her fund. Susan took Damon aside and offered to waive the rest of the fee, but Damon kindly refused, telling Susan that they would have to cancel the wedding out of fear of Maxine's health.
