Silas Blissett was a serial killer who was active in the village of Hollyoaks sporadically from 2010 until 2022 when his reign ended after he was pushed onto his electrified chess board by Bobby Costello, killing him instantly. During his time in the village, Silas killed sixteen women and one man. However, Silas had been a serial killer for a much longer period; seventeen of Silas's total victims are known, but Silas's total of kills is likely to be triple-figures.
Silas's killing began with his wife, Joan. Silas would usually steal jewellery from his victims (most likely rings), which he stored in Joan's urn, and he created a scrapbook with the names of all his murder victims and photos of the jewellery he stole from them. During his reign, he has ignited feuds with Lynsey Nolan and Mercedes McQueen. Lynsey was murdered by Doctor Browning in June 2012, whilst Mercedes remained a target of Silas's until his death.

Silas would kill women whom he deemed to be "sluts": serial cheats, unfaithful or promiscuous women. All of Silas's victims were killed by strangulation until 2022 when Silas changed his method to kill his first known male victim by poisoning and then later killed a female by bludgeoning.
