Sheila was the mother of Lee Stanley. In 1997, Stan impregnanted Cindy Cunningham after a one-night-stand. Cindy later told him about the pregnancy and rejected him, resulting in an upset Stan getting drunk and drink-driving - resulting in a crash that killed himself and Ollie Benson.
In April 2014, Cindy and Stan's daughter Holly Cunningham ran away from home, sneaking into Sheila's house. Sheila was horrified to find Holly kissing her boyfriend Jason Roscoe on the sofa. Holly explained that she was Sheila's granddaughter, but Sheila was dismissive and told Holly that she wanted her gone by the morning.
Holly made an effort with Sheila, cooking her breakfast and making her tea. However, Sheila insulted Cindy to Holly's face before insulting Holly herself. Jason was left disgusted by Sheila, telling her that Holly struggled without knowing her father, but may have been lucky with not meeting Sheila until sixteen years later. Sheila began to feel guilty, giving Holly a watch that belonged to Stan.
After Jason attempted to go on the run, Sheila found him and reconciled Holly and Jason. She stole Holly's phone and called Dirk Savage on Holly's phone to let him know that Holly and Jason were staying with her. However, Sheila told Holly and Jason and the pair fled.
