Shahid Shirani was a man who encountered far-right extremists Jonny Baxter and Stuart Sumner at a pub in March 2019. Shahid approached the pair and asked for them to move their truck as it was blocking his car. A confrontation later ensued in the carpark, in which Jonny and his friends viciously attacked Shahid. Shahid later recognised Jonny as he delivered a takeaway to 2 Oakdale Drive. He later confronted him, telling Jonny that he couldn't work and his family had to use a food bank. After Jonny laughed, Shahid pushed Jonny who fell and hit his head on the path. In retaliation, Stuart had Shahid's brother Amir targeted and his bike smashed. The extremists also targeted their restaurant, which they trashed.
