Sean Kennedy was the husband of Louise Summers and former friend of Warren Fox.

Biography[]

1972-2006: Life Before Hollyoaks[]

Sean was born in April 1972. His mother and father separated: his step-mother was an alcoholic, whilst Sean remained close to his mother. At some point, he moved to Ibiza and met job applicant Louise Summers whilst working as a manager at a club. The pair married on 7th April 2004, but the marriage only lasted three months: Sean was unfaithful, whilst Louise stole money from him and left. Sean went on to run a business with friend Warren Fox, but framed him after being caught committing fraud, resulting in Warren receiving an eighteen-month prison sentence.

2006: Arrival[]

In February 2006, Sean encountered Louise for the first time since she left him, having fixed a competition so Louise would end up at his holiday home. He then followed her as she returned to Hollyoaks, desperate to reconcile with her. Refusing to take no for an answer, Sean cemented his move to the village by purchasing Dan's Pit Stop and the Pharmacy, merging them into hair salon Evissa for Louise to run. Louise initially agreed to try again with Sean, but demanded - in front of the crowd on the opening day - that she wanted a divorce. After Sean's friend Dominic Reilly failed to reconcile the pair, Sean continued to refuse to sign divorce papers and Louise took out a petition.

In April 2006, ex-employee Mel Burton caught Sean sleeping with Clare Devine - the soon-to-be wife of Max Cunningham, the best friend of Mel's love interest O.B. However, bigger problems landed on Sean's doorstep in the form of Warren, recently released from prison and seeking revenge. Sean refused to compensate Warren for his loyalty so Warren responded with his fists, hospitalising Sean. Receiving another visit from Warren, he continued to refuse to pay him but instead offered him Louise. However, after Louise rejected Warren, Warren told her that it was Sean's idea.

Warren increased his demand to £100,000. With no other source of income aside from Evissa, Sean decided to sell the salon to Warren and leave the country with Louise. However, just as they were getting into the taxi, Louise confronted Sean. Realising that Warren was telling the truth, Louise turned on Sean and he left the village alone. Warren ended up offering a stake in Evissa to Louise, which she accepted.

2007-2009: Death and Aftermath[]

Sean made a sudden return to the village in March 2007, demanding £10,000 from Louise. When she refused, things got nasty and he ended up hitting her. After receiving the money, Sean planned to flee to Spain, only for Warren to reveal himself as his taxi driver. Warren took Sean to Rushmore Woods, intending to scare him over his treatment of Louise. However, Sean attacked Warren and a fight broke out. Sean attempted to hit him with a tree branch but Warren overpowered him and struck him, delivering a fatal blow. After telling Justin Burton about Sean's murder, he forced Justin to help move his body from the woods into a nearby river.

In June 2007, Warren was arrested for Sean's murder when Justin told Clare the truth. However, he was released due to a lack of evidence. In October 2007, Louise became suspicious as Sean missed his mother's 60th birthday and reported him missing. In April 2008, Newt and Lauren Valentine discovered Sean's body in the woods. Louise was accused of his murder and charged, but Warren conspired with Justin and Darren Osborne to have her released by getting the mentally unwell Jake Dean to confess.

In December 2008, Louise - preparing to marry Warren - learned that he was having an affair with her best friend Mandy Richardson and planned to kill him, feeling that she couldn't leave him over the secret of Sean's death. Warren discovered her plot and ended up murdering her on their wedding day. In March 2009, Calvin Valentine discovered Warren's involvement in Sean's murder and recorded a confession in May, but Warren intercepted and broke the tape. However, the truth ended up becoming public knowledge and Warren 'died' in a fire at The Loft in May 2009.
