Royal Northern Bank is a bank located in Chester. The bank is commonly used by Hollyoaks residents, with an ATM located under the Oakdale Drive steps and another outside Dee Valley University Hospital.
In April 2012, Ste Hay and Doug Carter met with a bank manager to request a loan for their new business venture, but were rejected. In July 2013, the bank sent the Roscoe family a letter to inform them that they had become bankrupt. In June 2017, Shane Sweeney forced Cleo McQueen to withdraw money from Goldie McQueen's account, with the teller doubting her suspicions and completing the withdrawal.
In June 2023, Grace Black performed an armed robbery on an armoured van in the bank's loading bay - accompanied by Zara Morgan and Cindy Cunningham, with Damon Kinsella as the getaway driver. The plot went disastrously when Cindy accidentally triggered the panic alarm, causing the van to be locked and depot to be swarmed by armed police.
