Ronnie Gardner was the employer of Jambo Bolton and his mother Janice. Ronnie's father, Ronnie Gardner Snr. owned the company, but Ronnie Jr. and Ronnie Sr. did not get along. Ronnie also dated Janice, despite not getting along with Jambo. In March 1997, Ronnie and Jambo had a blazing argument, and Jambo was fired when Ronnie fell over during a confrontation.
