Ravi Roy is the son of Bel and Govinda Roy, the brother of Ash and Leila Roy, and the adoptive brother of Anita Roy.
Biography[]
2008: Arrival[]
Ravi arrived in May 2008 and is instantly accused of kidnap by Nancy Osborne when he is seen being friendly towards Charlie Dean however it was seen that Nancy got the wrong end of the stick. Ravi then later impressed Warren Fox whom would later employ Ravi as the bouncer of The Loft and Ravi would become good friends with Warren and moves in with him and Louise Summers and later on Ravi would again bump into Nancy when he interviews her for a job at The Loft he then sleeps with Mercedes McQueen which angers Louise.
By June 2008, Ravi is joined by his younger sister in Leila Roy and begins to be accused by Warren when The Loft begins to be targeted by Newt whom is suffering from schizophrenia. Ravi is also joined by the rest of his family by November 2008 and Ravie would also attend the wedding of Warren and Louise in December 2008 originally being Warren's best man however Warren would later give it to his Foster brother, Spencer Gray whom Ravi helps out with writing a speech.
2008-2009: Nancy & Kris[]
Also in June 2008, Ravi would start to become a lot more closer towards Nancy especially after The Loft is attacked by a smoke bomb and Ravi and would begin a relationship with one another but Ravi reveals he is in fact bisexual when he attempts to kiss his and Nancy's friend in Russ Owen but when Russ opts against it, Ravi plays it down as a joke towards Russ when Ravi is told by Russ to tell Nancy what his really like. Ravi would soon break ups with Nancy but would get back with her and by January 2009 both Ravi and Nancy are unknowingly cheating on one another with Kris Fisher however when they discover this the three decide to enter a three way relationship.
But after just a few months both Ravi and Kris would be ended by Nancy as she begins to feel weird towards their relationship as well as getting jealous however despite Nancy breaking it off with him and Kris, Ravi would still continue his relationship with Kris whom begins to encourage Ravi to come out to his mother and father in which Ravi does so during a family event however, Ravi is then left stunned when Kris opts to split up from Ravi not long afterwards.
2009: Health Scare[]
Ravi would soon focus on his families business in the Relish bar along with his older brother, Ash Roy but when Ash would befriended a homophobic in Caleb Ramsey, Ravi takes a dislike towards him and this leads Ash to joke about Ravi probably fancying Caleb and this leads Caleb to attack Ravi by punching him showing that his homophobic and this would lead to Ravi to become temporarily blind and this would lead Ravi to grow close with Kris again whom begins to support Ravi and Ravi opens up to Kris what happened between him and Caleb when Ravi almost collapses again. Later on Ravi along with Kris is shocked when his diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm and is told that it could burst and kill him at any given time however Ravi would get his own back on Caleb after he punches and threatens Caleb after Caleb tries to start a fight with Ravi and make advances towards Leila.
After punching Caleb, Ravi was seen to of impress his brother whom is unaware of his recent cerebral aneurysm diagnosis and puts Ravi forward for Illegal street fighting to which Ravi agrees to do knowing it will put him at risk of being killed due to the aneurysm and by July 2009, Ravi would begin to fight one on one with several men for betting and money and one of them men end up being one of Ravi's good friend in Calvin Valentine whom is injured after his fight with Ravi and later on by August 2009, Ravi begins to loose control of his behaviour due to his cerebral aneurysm and would actually attack Leila in The Dog while Ravi is on a date with Loretta Jones.
By September 2009, Ravi's family discover that he has been fighting illegally and they begin to plea with Ravi to end it as it puts him in great danger of being killed and although Ravi at first agrees he goes behind his families back when Ravi arranges for another fight but Kris finds this out and attempts to stop Ravi who completely ignores Kris, Ravi is then seen going ahead with the fight and although Ravi wins his fight his stopped by mother, Ash, Kris and Lorreta who all try to reason with Ravi, Ravi then takes his frustration out on Ash by beating him and this leads to Ravi being punched by Ash causing him to collapse and to be rushed to hospital where his put into a coma and while in the coma Ravi overhears Ash telling their youngest sister, Anita that she is adopted this leads Ravi to tell his family after he awakens and Ash is told to leave and by October 2009, Ravi would wave goodbye to his mother and father after they depart Hollyoaks village to move back to their home town in Middlesbrough.
2010: Departure[]
By January 2010, Ravi also waves goodbye to his sister Leila after she departs for France and this leaves just Ravi and Anita out of they're family left in the village, Ravi would later reopen Relish with the help of his friend and soon business partner in Dominic Reilly, and Ravi seems to be getting his life back on track after the past year especially when his meets a woman named, "Kate Simpson" whom Ravi begins to date however Ravi is stunned that Kate is in fact a woman named Eva Strong whom is in fact Anita's biological mother and after Ravi discovers this he tells Anita and the two confront her in Manchester where Ravi would end his brief relationship with Eva but when Eva turns up back in the village to apologise to both Ravi and Anita and this leads Ravi to forgive and reconcile with Eva.
Ravi is later becomes annoyed with the Relish bar begins to become a target for graffiti and not only that the graffiti is racist slurs and this goes on for a few weeks and its soon revealed that the person is Des Townsend, Ravi along with his friends, Zak Ramsey, Jacqui and Michaela McQueen would all order Des to leave the village in which he complies too and not long after this since Ravi is no longer with Eva he begins a relationship with student Jem Costello. However Ravi is seen to still have true feelings for Eva and he begins to sleep with Eva behind Jem's back but the two are caught in the act together by Jem. This leads Anita furious and by November 2010 after the Gnosh Village fire Ravi disappears and Anita worries and even suspects Ravi may have been behind the fire but Ravi is later found collapsed in a ditch as his cerebral aneurysm has returned and this leads Ravi to depart Hollyoaks to give in Middlesbrough with his mother and father in order to recover.
