Olly Larkin was the boyfriend of Amy Barnes. The pair first met in March 2010 when Olly was promoting the law degree for Hollyoaks Community College. Olly asked Amy on a date and she accepted.
Olly was left uncomfortable when Amy revealed that she already had two kids and lived with two of her ex-boyfriends, but decided to pursue a relationship with her regardless. However, the relationship was not without trouble, as one of Amy's ex-boyfriends, Ste Hay, jealously attempted to ruin their relationship.
Olly attended the murder-mystery birthday party of India Longford, where Amy's other ex-boyfriend, Josh Ashworth, got drunk and crashed Olly's car into a tree.
Olly later became frustrated by the slow pace of the relationship, and tried getting Amy drunk so he could seduce her. Amy refused, but Olly refused to take no for an answer and attempted to rape Amy. Amy managed to fight him off and escape, and Olly was arrested for attempted rape.
