Oliver "Ollie" Benson was the youngest son of Juliette and Kirk Benson, as well as the brother of Kurt and Lucy Benson.
The cheeky younger brother of Kurt and Lucy, Ollie pushed everyone's limits with his schemes with his right-hand-man Lee Stanley. Winding up his siblings and comedically failing at romantic gestures occupied most of Stan and Ollie's free time, until Ollie met Mandy Richardson. Left smitten by her, the pair ended up sleeping together, but Ollie faced charges of statutory rape after learning that she was only fifteen!
Regardless, Ollie and Mandy pursued a relationship - despite the strong apposal from Mandy's brother Lewis - which came to an end after Ollie was unfaithful. Stan was left upset when Cindy Cunningham fell pregnant by him and cut him out of her pregnancy, and Ollie attempted to stop him from driving drunk. However, this ended with Stan crashing into a lorry and both Stan and Ollie died in hospital a short while later.
Biography[]
The youngest of Juliette and Kirk Benson's three children, Ollie was born in 1979 or 1980. Ollie made a habit of annoying his siblings - especially Kurt; taking his car for a joyride (and causing it to explode) in October 1995, and planting an 'unidentified bleeping object' that he couldn't find for months. Studying at Riverbank College, Ollie served as a journalist for the school newspaper - Riverbank Review - writing controversial columns such as 'Babe of the Month' and 'Cleavage of the Year'. Whilst Ollie had a sidekick in Lee Stanley, he befriended Susi Harrison when she moved into the flat above Got It Taped in April 1996.
Ollie met Mandy Richardson in October 1996 and slept with her, not realising that he was underage. He was left horrified as he faced charges of statutory rape when Mandy's brother Lewis found out, but Mandy and Ollie continued dating despite Lewis's warnings. After Stan began dating Mandy's best friend Cindy Cunningham, the quartet began going on double dates. However, in September 1997, Mandy found Ollie with another woman and broke up with him,
In October 1997, Stan found out that Cindy had fallen pregnant after their one-night-stand in May. She cut him out of her pregnancy, so Stan decided to drown his sorrows at The Dog in the Pond. Ollie got into an intoxicated Stan's car in an attempt to calm him down, but the pair came face-to-face with a reversing lorry; Stan flipped the car on a bank and crashed through the side of the lorry, and both he and Ollie died in hospital a week later. Ollie's death devastated his family; threatening the stability of his parents' marriage, and pushing his sister Lucy into turning to drugs.
