Morag Fairhurst is the ex-wife of Rob O'Connor and the biological mother of Sinead and Finn O'Connor. She met Sinead and told her that she was diagnosed with leukaemia when she was younger and in order to save her life, Finn was born as a saviour sibling. Morag explained that she never bonded with Finn, and after discovering Rob was having an affair with Diane Drinkwell, she left the family. Morag was declared dead in absentia as nobody could find any trace of her. She then invited Sinead on a holiday to New York, but she refused as Morag had no intention of also inviting Finn. Morag then left without Sinead.
