Matt Fraser was the band manager who viewed a performance by Crazy Bazz Studs in The Dog in the Pond in July 1997. Matt took a liking to the group, suggesting that they pushed the 'gay icon' with Lewis Richardson (to the other band members' amusement, as Lewis had formed a reputation for being homophobic). Matt ended up having an affair with band member Bazz, with Lucy finding out in November 1997 and leaving the band, resulting in the band's dissolvement.
