Madeline 'Martha' Blake is the mother of Patrick and Jeremy Blake, and the grandmother of Sienna Blake, Dodger Savage, Dilly Harcourt and Minnie Minniver.
She arrived into the village in May 2024, observing Sienna Blake outside of Dee Valley Law. She accidentally bumped into Sienna and when walking off suspiciously, her walking stick did not touch the ground. She calls an unknown person telling them that she has found Sienna. The next day she spied on Sienna, Liberty Savage and Dilly Harcourt at The Love Boat whilst they were drinking. She spiked Sienna's drink and then watches her enter The Love Boat from behind a wall. She then walks in on a sleeping Sienna and obtains her blood. The next day, Sienna accused James Nightingale for spiking her. Martha offers to walk Sienna home and they introduce themselves to each other. Martha meets Liberty and Dilly at Harcourt Grove. Sienna finds one of the letters Dilly sent when she was looking for her long lost family. They discover her full name: Martha Blake. The next day Martha came back for the bag she left behind but Sienna said she could only get it back when she tells her everything. She tells the family that she has terminal cancer, she has no immediate family left and that she thinks she's a second cousin of Sienna and Dilly's grandfather. We then find out that she secretly obtained her blood for a DNA test with the results showing a 99% DNA match between her and Sienna. She tells an unknown person on the phone that Sienna is not related to them. The next day, Martha sent them a letter telling them that she's left the village.
In June 2024, Dilly Harcourt meets with Martha in The Folly. She tells her again to leave her alone. Martha gives Dilly some money so that she stays away for good. She tells Dilly that if she keeps pushing this then it'll end very badly. Martha then hits Jeremy Blake with her walking stick after he reached out to Dilly. Martha then visits Jeremy in hospital where he tells her that she's not going to stop him from seeing his nieces. Martha then presses the morphine button to put him out of his misery. Dilly asks Jeremy who Martha is to Jeremy. Jeremy tells her that there was a disputed will many years ago and that she's always been convinced that she didn't get what she deserved.
