An unnamed lecturer taught the business studies class which Cheryl Brady and Annalise Appleton took in March 2012. The lecturer told the class that she wanted them to fill in an application for business proposals for the council's competition. She then introduced Tony Hutchinson, a judge on the competition panel.
After the lecture, she told Cheryl Brady of her worries that Cheryl is running a business and studying at the same time. She warned Cheryl that if she failed the assignment, Cheryl would need to leave the course.
