Leanne Marie Holiday was the wife of Dennis Savage. The pair had been in a long-term relationship until Leanne sustained serious injuries in a bomb explosion at 28a Fern Street. The pair married, legally, having had a non-legal ceremony previously, in hospital before she died.
Biography[]
2010-2011: Arrival & Relationship with Lee Hunter[]
Leanne is first seen in August 2010 as one if the new students at Hollyoaks Community College. She was then revealed to be the girlfriend of the returning Lee Hunter as the two made plans to reside in Hollyoaks, Leanne and Lee would later attend a music festival with the other students and Leanne is unaware that Lee wants to propose to her but when she's taken to a hotel room she is far from impressed by the room she and Lee are given to stay in. Leanne is unaware however of Lee's plan to propose to her and soon afterwards Leanne decides to go to Hollyoaks by herself, thinking her relationship to Lee has ended.
Leanne then turns up in the village and starts to begin her student life by befriending Texas Longford and later Doug Carter. While on her own away from Lee, Leanne rings Lee's best friend, Bombhead in a bid to find out why Lee has 'ended' their relationship and is shocked to learn that he had in fact planned to propose to her thanks to Bombhead asking if Lee has gone through with the proposal. Leanne would then kiss Doug in order to prove she Isn't boring as she had previously overheard Jem Costello saying the Leanne is boring and despite finding out Lee kissed Amy Barnes she forgives him and they both get back together. However Leanne starts to become increasingly jealous when Lee and Amy spend more time around one another and after the Il Gnosh Explosion which hospitalised Amy, Leanne writes a fake letter from Amy and smugly gives it to Lee and the letter states the she does not love Lee.
Leanne then prepares to marry Lee by February 2011 however her fake letter is finally exposed by Amy as she's at the altar about to marry Lee and this leads to the end of their relationship and Leanne is heartbroken when Lee announces that his in love with Amy and the two begin a relationship this leads Leanne to try and win Lee back throughout the majority of 2011. Leanne would often scheme in a bid to drive a wedge in Lee's relationship to Amy such as faking Amy attacked her, pushing Lee down a ski slope and in a, beginning a relationship Jamil Fadel in a bid to try and make Lee jealous and faking being pushed down the stairs by Amy.
Leanne would then report Amy to the police but would withdraw the statement when she learns their relationship has come to an end but is left devastated when Lee discovers her schemes and berates her before leaving in October 2011 and soon afterwards Leanna would move into them home of friend Doug and copper Ethan Scott in a bid to move on from Lee as well as finishing her first year at Hollyoaks High. Leanne also ends the year being chased by Dennis Savage whom as developed a crush on Leanne upon his arrival.
2012-2013: Relationship with Dennis Savage & Death[]
By 2012, Leanne has spent months fighting off the advances of Dennis and has many brief relationships with various men through 2012 such as, Louis Souyave, Dan Lawrence and Matt Gill whom are all band members of Daytona Lights. Leanne then would spend the majority of the year fight off the advances of Lee. She attended the double wedding of Doug to Ste Hay as well as Tony Hutchinson and Cindy Cunningham an event that would end in disaster after a mini bus driven by Maddie Morrison crashes into which results in the deaths of four people leaving Leanne in shock.
By 2013, Leanne finally gives into Dennis' advances and sleeps with him and soon after realises that she in fact has feelings for him and then begins a relationship with him however by May 2013, Leanne is devastated when Texas is murdered and is targeted by Dennis' cousin Will Savage whom was her killer as he sets up Leanne in a bid to make her look like Texas' killer and plants evidence against Leanne which leads to her being arrested and charged for the murder of Texas. Leanne then spends the next few weeks in prison while Dennis fights to clear her name if any wrongdoing but is released when Will's mother, Anna Blake decides to take the Falk her Texas' murder leading Leanne to be released.
Soon after her release Leanne immediately but accidentally causes a stir when she's overheard on the phone to Dennis by Leah Barnes whom she's babysitting for Ste stating to Dennis that Ste killed his own mother Pauline Hay this leads Leah to run away but is thankfully later found. By October 2013, Leanne discovers that Doug along with Ste are planning to move to America and this leads Leanne to decide to throw a leaving party for them but Leanne is left disgusted in Dennis when she finds out he was paid by Myra McQueen to fake a robbery where he stole the ring he proposed to Leanne with this leads Leanne to throw champagne in Dennis' face and end their relationship. Leanne is unaware that Sinead O'Connor has stolen a bomb from local gangster, Trevor Royle which was planned to be detonated by Clare Devine at the 30th birthday party of Mercedes McQueen at the local nightclub, The Loft.
When Clare detonated the bomb she unaware it's at the student flats, Leanne is caught up in the explosion and is soon carried out by paramedics and taken to hospital and reconciles with Dennis while in the back of the ambulance however after telling Dennis she wants to marry him Leanne suddenly stops breathing leading her to be rushed into hospital where she then later awakens and 'marries' Dennis but soon afterwards dies after a brain haemorrhage caused by the explosion.
After being murdered by Paul Browning on the same night, Clare would later avoid any responsibility for Leanne's death as well as both Doug and Ash Kane whom also die as a result of the explosion however a year later by October 2014 a year to the day of Leanne's death, Trevor is seen by Dennis laying flowers on Leanne's grave although at first Dennis thinks it's a nice touch from Trevor his later told by Sinead that he was the one whom brought the bomb into the village this leads Dennis to break into Trevor's flat and try and blow it up by using the cooker gases but his talked down by his father Charles S'Avage and his then girlfriend Blessing Chambers.
