"Kitty Draper" (real name Ivy Shaw, né Ivan Hawthorne before transition) is a woman who was involved in a car crash at Dee Valley Bypass in January 2024. Ivy and her driver, Kitty Draper, crashed into the middle of a roundabout as the car pile-up took place. Ivy checked on Kitty, who had died in the collision, and stole her wallet before fleeing the scene. She then began using Kitty's identity as her own. She is the daughter of Declan Hawthorne.

1997-2024: Life Before Hollyoaks[]
Born Ivan Hawthorne in August 1997, Ivy was abandoned by her mother and fell out with her havily-religious father Declan when she came out as transgender. Declan forced her to have sex with Lizzie Chen-Williams, who ended up having a baby as a result of the encounter. Ivy subsequently ran away from home, going by 'Ivy Shaw'.
2024: A Mysterious Arrival[]
"Kitty"'s true identity is revealed to be Ivy Shaw.
Stepping out of the passenger-side of a crashed car at the Dee Valley Bypass with an ID reading "Kitty Draper", Kitty made her way to Hollyoaks in January 2024 and applied for a barmaid job at The Dog in the Pond. Following a successful interview she was hired by landlady Diane Hutchinson, but was left nervous when Diane requested ID from her; it soon emerged that Kitty was really Ivy Shaw and had been using the ID of the deceased driver. Kitty impressed Diane in more ways than one, talking down an enraged Warren Fox in the pub and then supporting her daughter, Rose Lomax, when Rose skived school.
Beau Ramsey was left smitten upon meeting Kitty and was unfazed to learn that she was transgender. He upset Kitty when he took a photo of her and sent it to his father Tony Hutchinson, as Kitty thought that Beau had uploaded the photo to social media. After making up with Beau, Kitty moved into the spare room of 1 Stockton Lane at his suggestion. Kitty was alarmed when Theresa McQueen, who had been involved in January's pile-up, recognised her at The Dog. In a panic, she threw Theresa out and turned cold towards Beau. After making up with Theresa, Kitty softened on Beau and invited him out to dinner, but he turned her down.
Declan is killed during a fight with Beau.
Beau's half-siblings Ant and Dee Dee Hutchinson conspired to reconcile Kitty and Beau. Kitty supported Rose when he also came out as transgender: his parents proved a lot more supportive than Kitty's. In March 2024, Kitty was offered an induction to become a paediatrics nurse at Dee Valley University Hospital and decided to take up the offer. A few weeks later, Kitty came face-to-face with Declan - a conspiracy theorist part of Carter Shepherd's group. Kitty wound up being kidnapped by Declan until Beau rescued her, killing Declan in the process.
To protect Kitty's identity (the real Kitty had been reported missing by Abe Fielding three months earlier), she and Beau hid Declan's body in Hunter McQueen's grave. When the police investigated the scene, Kitty was forced to admit to Tony and Diane that her identity was false. Diane and Tony attempted to force Kitty to hand herself into the police, until Beau suffered a nervous breakdown. Zoe Anderson became suspicious of Kitty's behaviour and suspected that the real Kitty Draper was buried in Hunter's grave. Beau accidentally confessed to Zoe but protected Kitty by claiming he acted alone. To protect Beau, Kitty planned to make a full confession as Zoe uncovered the full truth. However, Lizzie's father Dave Williams discovered that Kitty was the father of Lizzie's baby and threatened her. Fearing for her life, Kitty fled the village, leaving Beau imprisoned.
