D.C. Julie Adams served as the family liaison officer for the McQueen family when Bobby Costello went missing in September 2012. Bobby's mother Mercedes Fisher was adamant on leaving the flat to Julie's reluctance, unaware that Mercedes was going to meet with Phoebe Jackson who was looking after Bobby. Julie later told Mercedes and Bobby's father Riley Costello that she wanted them to do a televised appeal, taking advantage of the press interest surrounding Riley.
