Character Profile   List of appearances

Joe Johnson is the son of Dave Johnson and the long lost relative of the Patrick family.

Biography[]

Joe arrived in the village to meet his long lost family. Upon his arrival, Joe's long lost twin sister Kate was hostile towards him, but she eventually warmed to him.

Joe began a relationship with Lucy Benson, but Kate told him that she had developed feelings for him, which Joe reciprocated. The pair ended up beginning an incestuous affair. Kate's step sister Ruth and Ruth's friend Carol Groves spread rumours that they were having an affair. Kate exacted revenge by stealing Carol's diary and photocopying pages and sticking them in the phone box for everyone to see. She then gave Ruth laxatives before her housewarming party, then hid all the toilet paper, and let all her friends and family in and left them to it.

Kate began to struggle to cope with her relationship with Joe, and noticing that his feelings continued to grow stronger, decided to leave the village. Joe decided to leave afterwards too.

In May 2000, Joe invited Kate to his wedding, and Jill Osborne accompanied her.
