Joseph "JJ" Roscoe Jr. is the biological son of Joe Roscoe and Lindsey Butterfield, the adoptive son of Mercedes McQueen, the half-brother of Gabriel McQueen and Lexi Roscoe, and the adoptive half-brother of Bobby Costello. Following the death of both biological parents, his grandmother Sandy Roscoe became his legal guardian.
