Hollyoaks Sixth Form College was a college for sixth form students. In September 2011, the sixth form year group was separated from Hollyoaks High School. However, this change was reverted in 2013, and the sixth form college was merged back into Hollyoaks High School.
In April 2012, Phoebe Jackson started a fire in the school. She had, initially, intended to set off the fire alarm but accidentally caused a fire. Tilly Evans was injured after is knocked unconscious when she fell whilst locked in the store cupboard. Phoebe was arrested.
In 2012, art teacher Jen Gilmore had an affair with a student, Tilly Evans. Tilly was later suspended when Jen reported her for stalking and harassment, but the suspension was revoked upon the affair being discovered. This resulted in Jen being fired.
Headteacher Mr. Keeler was also fired in January 2013 for his poor handling of the bullying of Esther Bloom, which resulted in her suicide attempt. He was replaced by Patrick Blake.
