Hollyoaks: King of Hearts was a spin off series from the original show Hollyoaks announced November 2010 and was broadcast on 15 December 2010 It saw Rhys Ashworth and Jacqui McQueen try and cheat at a game of cards when playing Brendan Brady and Danny Houston and Danny blackmailing Jacqui to sleep with him to wipes Rhys's debt.

Rhys and a man play poker as Cheryl and Brendan watch. Jacqui is serving as the waitress, and looks at the man's cards. She writes it on her hand and lets Rhys see as she's picking up his beer bottle. Rhys goes all in and wins. Danny recognises Jacqui. Jacqui takes Danny's order and uses her tactic of cheating for Rhys. Rhys lets everyone believe that Danny won, but Rhys reveals that he has better cards. A thuginforms Danny that Rhys and Jacqui have cheated. He grabs Jacqui's hand and shows the numbers. Rhys is taken upstairs. The thugs smash the upstairs window and hold Rhys out of it. Jacqui says that she was the one who cheated. Danny asks what kind of trouble her family are in. Jacqui has a flashback to Carmel saying that Kathleen is blackmailing them. Kathleen is about to turn them into the police when Myra, Carmel and Jacqui turn up at the station. Myra knocks out Kathleen with a punch, and Jacqui manages to convince the officer that Kathleen fainted due to her medication. Danny tells one of the thugs, Gordon, to drop Rhys. Jacqui reveals what's wrong. Danny says that Jacqui is now £2,000 further in debt due to the cheating and gives her 24 hours to come up with the cash or they neuter Rhys. He says that Jacqui has another option - he will wipe her debt and give her £2,000 if she sleeps with him. Rhys tells Jacqui not to. Jacqui refuses to sleep with Danny. Rhys and Jacqui have an argument over Jacqui considering Danny's offer. She slaps him for suggesting that she could become a prostitute. Rhys is annoyed that Jacqui hasn't said anything about her family being in trouble and breaks up with her. Rhys returns home drunk. Jacqui tells Rhy that Theresa killed Calvin and she and Mercedes helped with the cover-up. Calvin is also Kathleen-Angel's father, and Kathleen has been using her knowledge of everything to blackmail them. Danny turns up suddenly at the SU Bar. Gordon slams Rhys onto the table. Danny tries to convince Jacqui to sleep with him. He pulls on her ponytail and kisses her. Brendan has an idea on how to pay back Danny and get more back - rob him. Rhys wants to rob Danny but Jacqui refuses to let him to. Rhys says that they have only one other option. Jacqui insults Rhys, to which he calls her a slut. She storms off. Rhys has recruited Gilly to help him rob Danny. Rhys tells Myra that he needs a replica gun. Myra and Kathleen feign offence, but then say that they can get one, no problem. Myra is furious to hear about Danny's deal. Rhys reveals that he knows about Theresa - everything. Kathleen feels slightly guilty. Danny returns home. He prepares the drug deal and sends Gordon off with a brief case. Gordon gets into a black taxi cab. Brendan calls Danny and says that he has a drug deal too big for him to handle. Danny agrees. After hanging up, Brendan laughs at him. Rhys, Myra, Gilly and Kathleen make a plan for the robbery. Myra points out that there is a flaw in the plan - they don't know what taxi firm Danny uses. Rhys shows them the card for the firm Danny uses, which Danny gave him. Jacqui thinks that sleeping with Danny is the only option, Carmel tries to talk her out of it. Jacqui asks what Carmel would have done to save Calvin. Carmel is unable to respond. Kathleen is insistent on helping Myra. Theresa visits Jacqui, believing that she and Rhys are now engaged after Rhys showed her the ring. Jacqui is shocked to discover that it's a ring she fantacised over in a catalog. This fails to change Jacqui's mind, and she decides to go, saying that "it's just sex". Carmel tries one last attempt at changing Jacqui's mind, to no avail. Rhys calls Jacqui to make an apology. Rhys makes clear he's going ahead with the robbery. He says that if she sleeps with Danny, he will leave her and never return. Kathleen and Myra have knocked out and tied up the operator. Myra answers a call from Danny and tells him that the cab has been booked (which it hasn't). Jacqui arrives at Danny's house. Gordon pulls Jacqui into the house. Gordon searches Jacqui and gives Danny her phone. Danny wonders what he should make Jacqui do first. Gordon suggests that he makes her undress. Danny tells her to. Jacqui refuses. Danny tells everyone to leave. Gilly pulls up to Danny's house in the taxi. He escorts a woman, Sophia, to her destination but stops suddenly as he almost runs over Rhys, who is armed. He orders Sophia to get out of the car and to get on the floor. Rhys wants the briefcase, but it's handcuffed to Sophia. They kidnap her. Danny pulls out a knife from his jacket. He tells Jacqui to take her clothes off. Danny pulls out a knife from his jacket. He tells Jacqui to take her clothes off. Rhys and Gilly pull up to a warehouse. They take Sophia inside. Rhys aims the gun at Sophia and orders her to get the combination. She is scared. Sophia angers Gilly, who loads the gun and threatens to shoot her. Sophia hits Gilly with the briefcase and grabs the gun. Gilly says that the gun is a replica, Sophia pulls the trigger and a bullet is fired. Sophia tells Rhys that he has three seconds to tell her who he's working for before she shoots him. She doesn't believe that they aren't working for anyone and is about to shoot them when Kathleen sends her crashing to the floor with a punch. Kathleen has bolt cutters and cuts the chain between the briefcase and an unconscious Kathleen. Kathleen takes the gun and aims it at Rhys and Gilly, ordering them to give her the keys. Gilly is furious to discover that Kathleen was trying to get them set up the entire time. Gilly gives her the keys. Kathleen takes the money and runs. Jacqui thinks Danny is punishing her for dumping him for Rhys. Danny tells her to close her eyes. He puts a dressing gown over her and offers her a glass of Bordeaux wine. He notices that she is uncomfortable and invites her to bed. Rhys asks for Brendan's help with Kathleen. Brendan gives him a non-negotiable deal. Kathleen returns to the house, only to find it empty. She smashes a window and lets herself in. She steals more money from the tin. Danny kisses Jacqui. She pushes him onto the bed. Jacqui thinks about kissing Rhys, before running off to the bathroom. He orders her to come out, but she has locked the door. Kathleen finds the cab gone - Brendan has stolen it. Brendan gives Rhys the money. Jacqui finds a pair of scissors in the bathroom cupboard and puts them in the pocket. Rhys has Danny's money. Danny lies that Jacqui is in the shower. He enjoys winding Rhys up. Danny gives Jacqui the money Rhys gave him. Jacqui puts her hand in the pocket. He says that he wants Jacqui, but not like this. She reluctantly takes the money. Rhys vents to Cheryl. She comforts him. Rhys is hurt over Jacqui not telling anyone about them. Danny is adamant that Jacqui should take the money. He tries to convince her that they should be together. She rejects the money and has decided to go back to Rhys. Danny doesn't appreciate her like Rhys does. He says that she is free to leave. She gives him the scissors. Rhys and Cheryl kiss and undress. Someone heads to the SU Bar and opens the door to find them - it's Gilly. Cheryl runs off in embarrassment. Gilly wants to take Rhys to see Jacqui. Jacqui is pleased to see Rhys, who confronts her over what Danny said. She says that she couldn't go through with it. He and Gilly share a look. Kathleen is annoyed to not get her money. Rhys points out that it was Kathleen's fault that Brendan took the £4,000 left over. Kathleen, Myra and Jacqui have a blazing row. Rhys wants to tell Jacqui about Cheryl. Gilly says not to, he won't say anything. Rhys and Jacqui are awkward when Theresa assumes the ring is an engagement ring. Jacqui tells her family that she and Rhys are officially an item and they kiss. Rhys looks guilitly at Gilly. Cheryl applies her make-up. Brendan enjoys his cash. Jacqui and Rhys are laying on the couch, kissing.
