Hannah Cheers

Hannah Cheers (previously Sowden) began working on Hollyoaks in 2009, taking on roles such as story associate, story assistant, storyliner, story editor, story producer and producer. Hannah served as the deputy series producer from Episode 4996 (17th September 2018) until Episode 5075 (4th January 2019), and later as a series producer alongside Gary Sewell from Episode 5076 (7th January 2019) until Episode 5341 (13th January 2020). She was preceded by Vikki Tennant and succeeded by Josie Day.

Hannah returned to the producer role starting with Episode 5347 (21st January 2020), working alongside Gary Sewell and Josie Day. Josie departed in May 2021 and Gary in September 2021, with Hannah working alongside Philip Dodds from September 2021 to Hannah's last episode, Episode 5730 (26th November 2021). In August 2023, Hannah returned to Hollyoaks once more as an acting executive producer alongside Angelo Abela following Lucy Allan's decision to leave the role. Her and Abela's first credited episode was Episode 6241 (9th November 2023).

Hannah has also worked a story editor and story producer on Coronation Street, and as a producer on Emmerdale.
