Gemma Johnson is the daughter of Josie Johnson and Donny Clark. She is also the half-sister of Andre Clark and Vicky Grant.

In around 2006, Donny (then known as Mick Johnson) supposedly died in a fire. She was cared for by Sheila Grant and Billy Corkhill.

Biography[]

1986-2006: Early Life[]

Gemma was born in July 1986 to Josie and Mick Johnson. Most of her childhood is unknown. But around 2006, Gemma was informed that her father had ‘died’ in a fire at their home, this left her traumatized and broken. She was left in the care of Sheila and Billy Corkhill.

2026-: Arrival[]

In October 2026, Gemma was shocked when Mick showed up to Brookside Close - very much alive under the identity 'Donny Clark' - to warn Gemma that her life was in danger. The two have a heated discussion over that Donny claims he faked his own death for her and her brother Leo’s benefits. Not having it Gemma goes to leave but, she sees that her boyfriend, Warren Fox is home. Gemma was stunned to learn that Donny knew her boyfriend, Warren. Then they are all caught off guard when two gangsters, Sully and Griff arrive at Gemma’s house. They all flee for safety and are chased by the pair.

After leaving the Close, they arrive at Gemma’s boss’s home and she tells them they can hide there. Donny apologizes to her for causing the danger she’s in and they decide to hang about. The quietness is soon interrupted when Griff and Sully arrive and take them all hostage. They want £100,000 from Warren but he’s not giving into their demands which leads to Gemma being shot. They all usher inside and Warren agrees to get the money. While waiting on Warren, Gemma expresses to Donny on why she never had a family because she could never love anyone more than him.

The situation gets even worse when Dodger Savage arrives to try and help out but it only makes Griff and Sully more anger and leads to everyone being tied up. Gemma watches as Griff takes Donny & Dodger off to a bedroom where he beats them both up and rapes Dodger. Her and Sully wait for Griff to return where’s it’s revealed that Gemma had set up the entire thing, so they could fleece Warren out of some diamonds he had smuggled into the country. Gemma sees Warren return and begs him to hand over the diamonds which leaves him confused but he does. This leads to all of them being let go and Donny and Warren chasing the pair leaving Gemma and Dodger there.
