Synopsis

Helen and Max go on a warpath after hearing a rumour. Zara feels that Steph may be going to far with her rumours. Ellie tries to reason with an unsettled Toby, whilst Jodie is hellbent on sleeping with Jake.

Plot

Max's bin bag splits. He notices part of a letter from Mandy fall out. Norman prepares to eat food from the floor in the alleyway, but refrains when Abby nearly spots him. Jodie tries to decide what to wear on her date with Jake. Toby is wound up by Ellie and Scott. Helen confronts Max over the fight with Kristian. Max says that Kristian accused Mandy of poisoning Laura. Helen doesn't believe him and furiously storms off to confront people over the gossip. Zara is annoyed that she has not yet received her birthday present. Lee feels guilty for spreading the rumour about Mandy, but Steph and Zara are carefree. Kristian and Nick bicker. Nick is still uncomfortable over sleeping with Jodie. He is worried that she is sexualising herself too much. Jake tells Toby about his date, Toby says that women are not worth the trouble. Ellie thinks that she is controlling Scott. Toby warns Ellie that she might not be in control if she ends up alone with Scott.

Jodie is unappreciative of Nick's interference. Helen confronts Kristian, so he pretends to not be home. Lee and Steph argue. Zara is desperate to see her new car when Abby says that Ben has it. Nick is uncomfortable about Jodie dating Jake, despite not knowing him well. Jake arrives and compliments Jodie. Abby tells Lee that she wants to mark their relationship with something "permanent". Zara is horrified by her new car - it's Tony's old car! Jodie is annoyed when Jake has to do a shift at the same time as their date. Toby is wound up when Ellie and Scott flirt with each other and accidentally cuts himself. Jake is impressed by Jodie being laid back about working on the date, and being eager to take him home. Helen storms into The Loft in pursuit of Kristian. Abby takes Lee to a tattoo parlour. Abby is annoyed when Lee makes jokes about the tattoo. He sees another customer in pain whilst getting a tattoo. They decide on names tattooed on their arms. Lee is annoyed when Abby wants him to tattoo "Abigail" and not "Abby".

Helen furiously demands to know who the rumour was from. Abby is uncomfortable as the tattoo artist prepares, and runs off when the machine is turned on. Lee tells Abby about not feeling much when getting the tattoo. Abby lies that she also got the tattoo. Jodie gets drunk, and ignores Ellie's advice when she reminds Jodie that she does not have to sleep with Jake. Ellie is horrified to see Toby's hand injury, but Scott interrupts to ask for Ellie's assistance. Lee and Abby want to dissolve the club. Zara also agrees to Steph's annoyance. Jodie has changed her mind and asks for Nick's advice to back out. Toby accuses Ellie of using Scott. She asks why he is working at The Loft, he decides to tell her why. Jodie asks what Jake wants from a relationship. Toby sends Ellie home in a cab. She is furious. Jodie and Jake find common ground in that they both like football. Jodie decides "what the hell" and sleeps with Jake on the living room floor. Norman sleeps in the back seat of Zara's car.
