Episode 874 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Tuesday 10th September 2002.
Synopsis
Adam and Mandy grow closer when he confides in her. Eve feels slightly guilty when Becca uses her own money for the gift. Nick's art unveiling leads to a surprise lover. Lee's attempts to make Abby jealous results in a catfight.Plot
Eve is horrified to hear that Becca is prepared to spend £200 of her own money on the present. Mandy is worried that she will never pull off the job, and Laura tries to comfort her. Mr. C asks Adam if Andy is selling Deva, to which Adam says that Mr. C doesn't need him to support him. Zara and Lee are surprised to learn that Bombhead has been allowed back at school. Eve tries to help Becca come up with a second plan. Jamie doesn't think that Nick is straight, or that anyone will believe him. Adam tries to calm a panicked Mandy. Adam suggests that Mandy holds an open casting, and she won't need to pay as much as she would pay a professional model. Mr. C tells Max that he plans to buy Deva, and is subtly making measurements. Max thinks that Mr. C is buying the building for him to run the restaurant. Norman winds Lee up over Abby. Abby ignores Lee to talk to Norman. Becca is paranoid that Chloe knows about the collection. Eve offers to tell Chloe about the money when Chloe is drunk. Jamie uses magazines to try to get Nick to work out his true sexuality. He thinks Nick could be, at least, bisexual. Mr. C confronts Nick over the statue, Nick acts pretentious, which convinces Mr. C that the statue will be good.
Mandy advertises for the open casting. Laura snubs Adam's idea, telling her that if she "pays peanuts", then she'll "get monkeys". Mandy thinks that Laura would be a perfect model. Lee talks about having six free periods, to which Bombhead says that he wishes that he had a period. He thinks that he can "eat lots of chocolate, get really mad at everyone and get really good at rollerblading". He says that he is now on his period. Norman is annoyed about Lee continuously going on about Abby. Norman thinks that Lee should try to make her jealous by using Zara. Mr. C unveils Nick's statue, but thinks that it has gone missing. Mandy finds out that the family are planning to move. Adam tells her that Andy and Sue made the decision and didn't inform Adam or Zara. Nick refuses to pay Mr. C for the statue. Nick threatens to get journalists involved. Bombhead is kicked out of the classroom, having been told off and cried due to his "hormones". Lee pretends to need to confide in Zara. Lee lies that Lisa killed the dog on accident. He convinces Zara to hug her, and Abby watches jealously. Eve prepares to break the news to Matt and Chloe. Chloe and Matt think it has been robbed and are pleased with the thought.
Mr. C gets his revenge by having an audience ask Nick questions about his artwork and being a "commissioned artist". Adam tells Mandy that he thinks he might be getting feeling back in his legs, as one of his legs has started to work slightly. Abby angrily confronts Zara and they have a blazing argument. Lee tries to defuse the argument but they both tell him to shut up. The argument escalates until Abby slaps Zara. Zara hits her back and Lee is attacked whilst trying to separate them. Bombhead slaps Norman, before apologising and saying that it's "the time of the month". Becca gives Chloe a clock, which was all that she could afford. Lee asks about what Abby said about him being her boyfriend. Lee admits that he was jealous over the guys on her holiday, and thinks she has a love-bite on her neck. Abby shows him that she doesn't, and asserts that Steph invites the guys and she didn't want anything to do with them. Abby is heartened when Lee says that he loves her, and Abby feels the same. Bombhead, on rollerblades, is delighted that they have reconciled. A gallery owner tells Nick that he has a proposition for him. Mandy is thrilled when Adam is able to stand up with the bars and take a step. Mandy catches him when he slips, and Laura walks in as they nearly kiss. Mr. C is amazed that Nick has been offered £2,000 "for another piece of junk".Cast
