Synopsis

Looking after Charlie has proved no small task for Anna – and she's made sure everybody knows it. But after a night out with Max, who's left holding the baby? In the seemingly never-ending tug of war over who "owns" the young child, it turns out Alex has decided to strike back. While Anna and Max are out spending a quiet evening together, he sneaks round and helps himself to what's rightfully his. It seems we're far from witnessing a toddler's truce. Inevitably, Anna is distraught on discovering Charlie missing. When neither Alex or Becca answer their phones, she drags Max round to the flat to demand her baby back. But negotiations prove to be no mere child's play. The more hysterical Anna gets, the more determined Alex is to keep Charlie with him. After all, it's his home: Anna was the one who chose to leave. We've seen both sides in this unhappy family circling each other for some time now, and crisis point can't be far away. Sure enough, Anna has another ultimatum for Alex. Her threats imply that the eternal problem of bringing up baby can't be resolved without tears and a lot of heartache. Ellie puts Toby's mind to rest.
