Lisa gets ready for prom, and looks at her dress. Zara and Brian share a glance as they set up the hall. Dan searches for Gary on the barge, and finds letters addressed to him and Tony. Lee and Norman argue over the baking. Alex wants to look after Charlie, as he is not going to have as much time to spend with him once he has a job. Zara thinks that Brian should tell Lisa about them before prom night. Brian worries about her reaction. Steph mocks Sally behind her back and insults Lisa to Abby. Dan demands to talk to Ellie. Dan prepares to tell Ellie about Gary, but Lisa rushes in, worrying to Ellie about a spot on her face. Lisa tells Ellie that she has a surprise for Brian, but refuses to tell her what it is. Anna is embarrassed when she does not have enough money to pay for her purchase at the Pharmacy. Sally tells her that they need money too - the garage has been broken into. Sally advises her what to take off her purchase, and offers to give her recipes on how to make them instead.
Bombhead tells Lee and Norman that he was thinking of inviting Helen to prom. Lee thinks that they will make plenty of profit from selling cakes. He thinks that they need a vehicle to impress the girls and to sell more cakes. Lee plans to borrow Les's van. Anna asks Sally about her relationship with Les after having kids. Anna worries that she might have gone off Alex. Zara is annoyed that Brian has not spoken to Lisa yet. He worries about hurting Lisa. Lee, Norman and Bombhead search for the keys. Brian arrives for Lisa. Lee finds the keys and the guys go to leave. Bombhead thinks that Brian looks nice. Sally hears him but Brian does not, and Sally is convinced that she is just hearing things. Brian and Sally are amazed by how Lisa looks. Lee is worried that he has been caught speeding on a speed camera. He slams on the brakes.
Brian is distant and Lisa is worried, but he makes her believe that nothing is wrong. Abby, Steph and Zara insult the outfits of some of the prom attendees. Abby notices that Steph and Lisa are wearing the same dress. Steph thinks that Lisa looks like a "tramp". Anna has bought a bottle of wine to celebrate. Prom night gets underway, and Steph and Lisa encourage Brian to dance with Zara. Steph is cold towards Lisa. Lee worries about Les getting a speeding ticket. Norman thinks that they should destroy the camera. They are unaware that an officer is watching them from a different camera. Dan gives Ellie the letter from Gary. He is not pleased by Ellie's reaction. He blames her for Gary's departure and they argue. Lee tries to impress Abby. Ellie tears up the letter. Steph tries to flirt with a guy who can't take his eyes off Lisa. Bombhead invites a girl to dance, and she agrees.
Lee and Abby wait for each other to make the first move. Lee is about to approach Abby when someone else invites her to dance, but she declines. Bombhead day dreams that Brian hosts a dance competition and Abby takes Lee onto the dance floor. Bombhead dances flawlessly with his partner and they win a trophy. Bombhead snaps back to reality when he stands on the girl's foot. Zara searches for Steph. Lisa prepares to present Brian with the thing she has been keeping secret from him. She performs a song for him, and Abby thinks it's sweet. A smug Steph changes the slide on the projector and a photo of Brian and Zara appears on the screen. Zara is shocked and looks at a smirking Steph. Lisa notices everyone laughing and sees the photograph. Brian is horrified. Lisa runs off, past Bombhead, Lee and Norman, who is pleased about stealing the camera. A mortified Lisa bursts into tears. Lee, Bombhead and Norman try to sell their cakes. Abby notices Lee, but walks off. Brian stares at the picture until Zara turns off the projector. Lisa rushes upstairs and into her bedroom closet. She pulls out a bag and empties the contents. She sits on the bed and cries as she cuts her wrist.Cast
