Episode 702 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Thursday 15th November 2001.
Synopsis
Geri holds an event at The Dog in the Pond for Jason's international debut. Dan is pushed to the limit as Les continues to drink heavily. Max and Mr. C bond over a terrible fishing experience, whilst Jodie and Jamie rival on the football field.Plot
Dan watches as Les pours himself a drink. Geri excitedly shows Izzy her promotional posters for Jason's international debut. Nick is furious when Jodie repeatedly throws a ball against the Drive 'n' Buy window and kicks the ball at him and Toby. Max is furious when Mr. C accidentally drops maggots on his breakfast. Dan and Les argue over his drinking. Max is unimpressed as Mr. C refuses to let him back out of going fishing. Sue fusses over Beth. Jack is annoyed by Geri overtaking The Dog with the posters. Dan pulls out of football practice so Jodie, Nick, Toby, Jamie, Adam and Luke play against each other instead.
Max finds out that Gordon doesn't have a fishing licence, and instead is using his father's. Jack is left further furious by Geri's big plans, which she has charged to his account. Jamie and Toby tease each other so Jamie challenges him: Adam, Luke and Jamie vs. Toby, Nick and Jodie. A drunk Les thinks that Toby called social services on the family. He has spent all of his money so he tries to force Dan to buy him another pint. Geri is furious when Dion calls her as Jason has not yet turned up. Dan gets angry with Izzy when she wonders if Les's bad mood is down to her.
Jamie pushes Jodie over as he attempts to score a goal, which Nick prevents. Toby angrily confronts Jamie as Jamie taunts Jodie. Mr. C fails to notice when Max accidentally gets the fishing rod caught in an electricity line and shocks himself. He tries to tell Max how proud he is of him for trying to keep things going after Lewis's suicide, but Max cannot hear him. Jodie manages to score a goal as Adam misses the ball. Les is adamant on staying at the pub when Dan wants to go home. Jodie gets revenge by tripping over Jamie, which gives him a penalty shot. Jamie ends up missing the goal completely, with Jodie taking the ball and scoring a second goal. Mr. C thinks that he could have done more for Dawn, Jude and Cindy, but he and Tom are his priority now.
A drunk Les makes a fool of himself and pushes Dan over. He swings for Toby but Jack stops him and throws him out. Gordon starts to catch something on his fishing line. Dan warns Les that one day he will find himself alone as he has pushed the whole family away. Mr. C ends up falling into the river as he attempts to pull his fishing rod. Max is amused as he has caught rubbish. Geri is unimpressed when Jack calls her Jacqui, due to how much she is ordering him around. Max and Mr. C leave the pond on good terms, but Max makes Mr. C promise to never take him fishing again. Jason's international debut plays on a projector screen in The Dog.
Les bursts into tears as he looks at a photograph of his family. Mr. C has bought a fish for their fish supper. Sue tells Jack that Geri ordered a bottomless buffet. Geri gets excited as Jason is subbed onto the pitch. As Jack tries to turn the volume up, he accidentally turns the screen off. Beth gets annoyed as Jamie and Toby complain about their incomplete football teams and tells them to join. Izzy and Dan have an argument. Everyone in the pub cheers as Jason scores a goal. Dan tells Izzy to stay away from him.Cast
