Synopsis
Cleo and Joel find themselves back in each other's orbits after a turbulent day in their own love lives. Tommy manipulates a conversation he's recorded with Joel. Donny becomes suspicious of D.I. Banks.Plot
When Misbah wonders why the text was specifically sent to Donny, he deduces it's because of his relationship to Dillon. Misbah wonders if Rex attacked Dillon but Donny's convinced he's too high up the chain, so plans to look at the case files and the street dealers to get to the top. Liberty can't help but wonder why the police are looking for Maxine. Cleo invites Sienna over to hers later to talk. Darren and Nancy clash at Price Slice and Grace overhears them stressing about Frankie's whereabouts. Having given Tommy a warning in the village, Leela returns home and tells Joel. He worries what Tommy may do. They remain unaware that Tommy's watching them from his secret camera.
Freddie urges Mercedes to let her plan to avenge Grace go. Joel and Leela play right into Tommy's hands as they find themselves bickering yet again. Sienna has MND tests but has to wait two weeks for a result. Liberty's disappointed to overhear Peri and Cleo talking about Sienna. Joel visits Tommy, who secretly records their conversation and plays back an audio recording he has from a conversation between him and Leela, in which Leela seemingly claims it would be easier if Clara wasn't Joel's as she could then leave him. Donny's suspicions turn to D.I. Banks, who points his colleague in the direction of another dealer he can investigate to try and throw him off the scent.
Liberty tells Sienna what she overheard between Cleo and Peri at the hospital. At the same time, Cleo vents to Mercedes about how Peri was out of order for saying what she did. Joel turns to Cleo following his meeting with Tommy. Grace tells Nancy that she's had a text from Frankie, who's confirmed that she and Dillon are staying with Kat. She gives Nancy money to take Oscar private for his new cochlear implant. D.I. Banks informs Grace that Donny's sniffing around so she needs to keep him on her radar. Over a bottle of wine, Joel and Cleo open up to one another about their troubles, resulting in them locking lips. Having secretly followed D.I. Banks, Donny photographs him meeting with a dealer. Tommy uses editing software to completely manipulate his conversation with Joel, making it sound like Joel has said things that he hasn't really.Cast
