Synopsis
A cover-up mission begins, Leela tries to get her marriage back on track, and Nancy hopes to get through to Frankie.Plot
As Frankie wakes up in a police holding cell, Nancy tries to help Darren realise that his daughter needs professional help. Dodger tells Rex and Grace how they're going to cover up Maxine's death. Darren and Nancy pick Frankie up from the police station. D.I. Banks calls Grace and demands she doesn't let Frankie breathe a word to her family. Ste thinks Tommy has a crush on Joel, prompting Leela to arrange a special day for herself and her husband. Darren has to take Oscar to his pre-assessment for his new cochlear implant, so Nancy locks Frankie in her bedroom at 17 Basswood Road until he gets back. Dodger drives a van to the middle of nowhere with Maxine in the back of it.
Grace shows up at the Osbornes offering to talk to Frankie. Maxine's alive and well, having worn a bulletproof vest when Dodger shot her. Dodger's arranged for Sienna to bring Minnie to her so that they can flee the country. Maxine tells Dodger that when she leaves, they cannot be together. Tommy texts Joel, inviting him to a convention. Leela manages to convince Joel to spend time with her instead, but they're both unaware that Tommy's watching them through a secret camera he's planted in their house. Grace feigns her concern for Frankie before asking her not to tell her family about the parties she's been attending.
Using the alias Fiona Byrne, Maxine arranges to visit Mercedes where she explains that she's leaving the country today and, once she's gone, she's going to send a video to D.S. Bolton confessing to murdering Abe. Nancy opens up to Frankie about her painkiller addiction in the hopes of getting through to the youngster. They fall asleep in Frankie's bedroom together but two hours later Nancy wakes up and there's no sign of Frankie; she's stolen money from Jack and Pearl and left. Returning to Dodger, Maxine's reunited with her daughter. She says an emotional goodbye to Sienna and Dodger and she and Minnie then leave in a taxi for France. Meanwhile, back in the village, D.I. Banks gets in his car and heads to collect someone from the station with a girl in the back. It's Tori.Cast
