Synopsis
Dodger and Maxine find themselves in danger. Frankie's vape runs out, so she heads over to 17 Basswood Road in search of money to buy a new one, but things get out of hand.Plot
The kidnapper takes Maxine to the allotment and reveals themself as Dodger. Dodger tells Maxine that he's bugged Rex's phone; he knows that Rex is looking for her and Grace knows she's a grass. Grace wants Minnie kept under surveillance, knowing that Maxine won't go anywhere without her daughter. Dodger reveals to Maxine that Rex took Dennis away from him, as well as his granddaughter. Frankie tells Dillon she has a date and he has connections in the ballet world. Dodger explains that he couldn't adopt Victoria as he was working covert operations at the time, so Dennis took her on. Things went wrong when Dennis was hit by a speeding car, driven by Rex. Dennis was meant to attend a line up to identify the culprit but he and Victoria disappeared and blood was found inside the house.
At Weirside View, Ray brings a man back with him to see Frankie. Frankie panics and slaps Ray across the face before hiding in the bedroom. Maxine encourages Dodger to stay and finish off the job, while she'll leave. Dillon returns home and finds Frankie in a distressed state. She tells him she locked herself in his bedroom but won't tell him anything else. Instead, she gets high on her vape. Dillon does too. The next morning, Frankie gets herself in a state as her vape is dead and she can't find another one. D.I. Banks warns Grace to find and silence Maxine urgently, or else he'll have to assume she's incompetent. Frankie goes in search of money so that she can buy another vape.
Rex and Grace confront Dodger in The Loft, wanting to know where Maxine is at once or else Myra-Pocahontas will come to harm. Arriving at 17 Basswood Road, Frankie asks Darren for money. Nancy realises she wants it for drugs. Grace locates Maxine and picks her up in her car. Tensions rise at the Osbornes house as Darren questions Frankie while she's frantically searching for the cash she needs. Maxine's made to sit in a chair on The Loft's dancefloor as Grace interrogates her. She wants to know if she can trust Dodger or not, so Maxine covers for him. Rex hands Dodger a gun and Grace demands he shoots Maxine. Frankie starts trashing the house so Nancy decides to call the police. Dodger follows Grace's orders and shoots Maxine.Cast
