Synopsis
Peri bravely tells her family about Abe, while Misbah and Donny are shocked when Dillon returns home the next day worse for wear.Plot
It's 11:06pm. Peri wakes up and is horrified to find her jeans on the floor on the other side of the bedroom. She asks Abe why she woke up without them on, but he says she thrashed around whilst she was drunk and asks her to go and get him some beer from Price Slice. Dillon inhales the vape in the toilets of The Loft. In a daze at the shops, Peri listens to a voice note from Abe and then abandons his beers to visit her mother. Donny's exhausted from settling James down and doesn't think he and Misbah can continue the way they are. He thinks James needs somewhere stable and, as Leah's already found adoptive parents, suggests he goes to them.
Peri finds the courage to tell Leela, Joel and Ste that Abe hit her and then raped her. Vicky finds Dillon slumped in The Loft and deduces he's taken something. Rex offers to stay with Dillon until he sobers up and contact Misbah if anything happens. At the police station, Peri opens up about her ordeal to D.S. Bolton, who reassures her and asks her to go for a forensic exam. When Peri mentions that Abe acted like nothing happened and called her a "good girl", Leela has flashbacks to the night she was raped and realises that Abe may have also assaulted her. With Leela at her side, Peri goes in for forensic examination.
At 7:16am, Abe wakes to D.I. Banks arresting him on suspicion of rape. Marie's shocked to see her son being taken away. Ste tells her it's because he raped Peri. Dillon returns home worse for wear and is caught trying to sneak to his bedroom by Donny and Misbah. Donny realises that Dillon's taken something. D.I. Banks urges Abe to tell him the truth. Joel then has to break bad news to Peri: Abe's been released pending further enquiries. Marie's waiting outside and is relieved to see her son. Abe's told the police that their sex was consensual and rough. As Peri worries about how she can prove to the police she was telling the truth, Cleo comes around in her hospital bed.Cast
