Synopsis
Two villagers prepare to make their escape to a holiday cottage, while Vicky worries when Dillon finds out that the father of her baby is Freddie and confronts her, with someone overhearing their conversation.Plot
Waking up next to Mercedes on Christmas Day, Freddie's booked a holiday cottage for them to escape to. Mercedes looks forward to going with Freddie. Freddie braces himself to tell Grace tonight that he's leaving her. The McQueens catch Freddie leaving and are pleased for Mercedes. Freddie returns to The Love Boat and hands Curtis his presents. Rex is not pleased to see him, but Grace insists they play nice and have lunch together at The Dog in the Pond as she doesn't want them to ruin Christmas Day for Curtis. Darren's relieved to hear from Rex that the drop off went well and gives Kat a call but is disturbed by Nancy.
Myra finds Mercedes packing a bag and isn't happy to learn she's planning to go away with Freddie. Mercedes defends her decision as a heated argument ensues. Myra cries and admits she's scared for her daughter. Villagers gather at The Dog in the Pond for their Christmas dinners and Donny gives a toast to Tony for putting on the spread before informing everyone that he thinks it'd be nice if they sand Christmas carols together by the tree in the village later. Dillon realises that the father of Vicky's child is Freddie and pulls her to the men's toilets to get the truth out of her. However, once he has, they hear a toilet flush in the cubicle next door. Mercedes asks Misbah if she can go away from a few days; Misbah thinks it's a good idea for her but reminds her not to overexert herself.
Nancy can't help but check Darren's phone when she gets a moment alone. She admits to Robbie that she worries that he may have cheated on her whilst she was away when she's caught out by him. Vicky suggests to Robbie they get married but he's more interested in needing to take a call. She assumes based off of his response that he overheard her and Dillon in the toilets. Mercedes says goodbye to Myra and texts Freddie that she's ready to go. Freddie texts her back saying he loves her. The villagers gather at the tree for carols, unaware a sniper is eyeing up Freddie. Grace sees the red dot on Freddie and stands in front of him, taking the bullet herself.Cast
