Synopsis

Grace and Freddie are rocked when a secret that Rex has been keeping comes out. Vicky and Robbie get back together. Diane pushes Tony and Marie's relationship forward.

Plot

Ste wants answers from Rex over why he's avoiding him. Rex tells Ste about his family dramas and reassures him he isn't keeping any secrets from him. Ste then overhears Rex talking with Misbah about someone being in her house and assumes they're on about James. He attempts to challenge Misbah but she claims they were talking about wedding venues. Freddie has to hide in Robbie's flat as Robbie returns from London before Vicky can get rid of him. Robbie's surprised to see Vicky but promises her they'll figure things out. Vicky gets Freddie out of the flat without Robbie noticing. Ste breaks into Misbah's. Tony secures the lease on The Cage and is going to turn it back into a restaurant.

Misbah walks in on Ste searching through her house. He demands to know where James is. Robbie stands his ground with Freddie, telling him that Curtis pushing Lexi changes nothing in terms of custody. Misbah's attempt at calming Ste fails and he shoves her, causing her to hit her head and knock herself unconscious. Rex bribes Curtis with £100 to stick to his story about Lexi, as it transpires that Rex was responsible for Lexi's head injury and epilepsy. Freddie overhears their conversation and loses his rag with Rex. Thinking he's killed Misbah, Ste wraps her up in a rug. Donny walks in and it turns out Ste's hallucinated harming Misbah. Grace breaks up Freddie and Rex's fight and learns the truth about Rex's secret. Robbie and Vicky reconcile but Robbie then finds Freddie's tank top.

Rex explains that Curtis and Lexi created an imaginary friend called 'J' and they posted letters in his bag for him, but as Rex was involved in dodgy dealings at the time, when Lexi grabbed his bag he panicked and pulled the bag off of her, causing her to lose her balance and hit her head. Diane suggests to Tony and Marie that they go on a date at Casa McQueen tomorrow. Vicky's lied to Robbie that the tank top was a cleaning rag. She and Freddie agree to never speak of their night of passion again. Misbah shows up at her house and Ste's shocked. Donny's called the police on Ste but Misbah thinks Ste needs help as he's clearly not well. A confused Ste loses his temper with Misbah and P.C. Harvey arrests him on suspicion of burglary. At their desk, someone signs off a note that they've written with 'J'. The note reads: "I am still trapped in this house - please come soon".
