Synopsis

Abe finds himself in a sticky situation. Frankie realises that Dillon's the father of baby James. Rex tries to support Ste.

Plot

Abe agrees to call Cleo an ambulance but tells her she must know that if he does, he'll be arrested and then she'll have no one. Ste refuses to leave until he sees James but is left shocked when the gentleman is not him. Marie tries to calm him down. Lucas is being released tomorrow and Frankie's excited to see him. Marie hands baby James over to Dillon whilst she tends to Ste. Abe feels like Cleo's fever's breaking and wants her to focus on getting better, promising to take her away when her health's improved. Marie's hurt as Tony's ghosted her. Keeping her attention on Ste, she hands him an aqua aura quartz.

Peri's annoyed when Abe fails to show up for the hot date he promised her, so Marie takes her to The Dog in the Pond to cheer her up and leaves Abe a voicemail to meet them. Abe holds an engagement ring in the village. Darren sees it and, upon seeing Peri in the pub, lets slip to her that he thinks Abe's going to ask her to marry him. Meanwhile, Abe lets Cleo back into the flat and has set up a romantic meal for them. He gets her to dance with him. Rex tries to help Ste out when he drops his crutch but Ste rejects him and brands him as evil. As Ste storms off, Rex picks up the quartz that Ste hasn't realised he's dropped. Peri fears that it's too soon for Abe to propose, so Marie tries to calm her nerves.

Rex takes Ste the quartz and apologises to him. He reassures Ste that he's turned his life around and hopes that can gain his forgiveness. Ste cracks and tells Rex that he doesn't feel like he can move on James. He breaks down as Rex holds him tightly. Dillon's taken over the lease for the Park Café from Tom and plans to transform it into a hotspot as part of a fresh start for him and Lucas. Frankie confronts Dillon over how he looked at baby James when he held him earlier and deduces that he's the father. Dillon's unable to deny the truth and begs Frankie to stay quiet. She gives him an ultimatum: tell Lucas the truth or she will. Abe proposes to Cleo but Peri disturbs them when she knocks on the door. Abe hides Cleo back in the eaves and opens the door to Peri. She lets herself in, sees the engagement ring, and gets Abe to ask her the question. He gets on one knee and proposes and she agrees to marry him!
