Synopsis

Grace has been keeping a secret from Freddie, and Mercedes finds out what it is. Nancy's left conflicted. Tony and Marie secretly have a first date.

Plot

Tony's taken off his wedding ring and receives a text from "M" asking if they're ready for their first date. Freddie's released from his cell and Grace tells him that Robbie's now got temporary custody of Lexi. Lexi's off school as she's feeling unwell and Robbie's snowed under, so Vicky offers to look after Lexi and sort out a delivery at The Loft for him. He gives her her job back but stresses that it changes nothing between them. Darren asks Nancy to pick up some silk pillows for him for JJ but Nancy doesn't think it's a good idea that Frankie sees her helping him so refuses.

Mercedes checks in on Freddie but is left devastated when Freddie breaks his promise to her on obtaining the chemotherapy drugs she needs. She tearfully rants to him as he lends an ear and they emotionally connect before she thanks him for trying. With a bouquet of flowers to hand, Tony meets "M" - it's Marie. Lexi takes a funny turn at The Loft just as Freddie arrives. Vicky calls for an ambulance. Nancy tells Diane of her dilemma and is advised to support her husband in his impossibly difficult situation. Lexi's had a seizure as she didn't take her medication through fear of throwing up. She's taken to hospital and Freddie asks Vicky to tell Robbie that he's a dead man. Heeding Diane's words, Nancy buys Darren what he needs for JJ but makes clear she's done it for him and not for JJ.

Tony cooks for Marie at 2 Oakdale Drive. She feels they need to come clean to Diane but Tony doesn't want to hurt her. Marie's delighted when Tony admits he's falling for her. At the hospital, Darren comes across Freddie and, when Robbie shows up, tries to defuse tensions between the pair. Ro catches Tony and Marie kissing outside. Freddie beats himself up for Lexi having epilepsy, as he left her and Curtis alone the night Mercedes had a colonoscopy to support her and Lexi fell and received a head injury. When Freddie leaves to clear his head, Mercedes notices that Grace is keeping a secret. Grace admits to Mercedes that Lexi's head injury was actually because Curtis pushed Lexi.
