Synopsis
Jack continues to try and get through to JJ ahead of court. Abe punishes Cleo for trying to run away. Tony encourages Ste to look after Leah's baby, and the baby's father is revealed.Plot
Jack explains to Pearl that his contact with JJ was to convince him to tell the truth, as this would be Frankie's best chance in court tomorrow. Ste acknowledges that Rex was the one visiting him when he was in a coma, feigning a bond whilst hiding a syringe under the covers. JJ approaches Frankie in The Dog carpark. Frankie notices the bruises on his arm, but walks away when JJ begs her to tell the lawyers what they did was consensual, and tries to claim Suzanne wouldn't have wanted for him to go to prison. Rex recounts to Ste how he found a postcard from Fraser asking Dave to look after him, but to never reveal that Rex was Fraser's son. Ste pretends to comfort Rex, as Rex asks him what he remembers from the day of the bomb. Slowly moving his hand closer to Rex's neck, Ste recalls James getting the "all-clear", feeling happy, then Donny's car blowing up. Rex blames Dave/Blue, but Ste accuses Rex of helping him, disclosing the syringe and attempting to attack Rex. Rex manages to fight Ste off, as Leah enters the room.
Abe enters the eaves, and wakes Cleo, discovering a wound from when she fell. Cleo panics, as she needs the hospital, but believes she can't leave the flat. Jack meets with JJ at The Folly, and encourages him to be brave and tell the truth in court. Leah believes Rex was attacking Ste, but Rex lies that he was simply checking on a sleeping Ste, who woke in a panic. Leah once again asks Ste to look after her son, but leaves upset when Ste reiterates that he can't. Rex explains that he blamed himself for James' death, but visiting Ste gave him someone to confide in and allowed him to heal. Rex admits he's fallen in love with Ste, but Ste claims he hates him and orders Rex to leave. Jack tells JJ that his lies will tear him apart, revealing how he murdered someone and didn't confess, causing trauma for both himself and his loved ones for years. Sympathising with JJ's tough childhood, Jack acknowledges that Frankie and JJ were all each other had, but reenforces that JJ crossed a line and tried to control Frankie, knowing what he was doing was wrong as he forced Frankie not to tell anyone. JJ claims no-one understands.
Tony visits Ste, and encourages him to fight for his family. Abe cleans and dresses Cleo's wound, who apologises to Abe and blames herself for her injury. Abe reveals he's leaving for a few days, inferring it is punishment for Cleo trying to run away, so she understands not to do it again. Cleo pleads with Abe not to leave her on her own, as he exits and locks the door. Leah cradles her son, and apologises for being unable to care for him. Just as she's about to hand him over to social services, Ste stops her, revealing he will raise the baby. Dillon arrives, and in private, Leah informs him that the baby will be staying with Ste. Revealing himself to be the father, Dillon tells Leah he'll never forgive her if Lucas finds out what they did. Jack tells JJ that he has to show remorse. JJ asks how it felt when Jack revealed the truth about the murder. Jack describes it as a weight being lifted. In The Loft, Vicky encourages a drunk Frankie to go home to prepare for court the following day. Frankie shouts that she's had enough of people telling her what to do, and continues dancing.Cast
