Synopsis

Marie shocks Leela and Joel. Leah gets into university. Abe worries about what Cleo's going to do.

Plot

Cleo locks Abe in the eaves and heads for freedom. Nancy can't get through to Leah and isn't sure what to say to Charlie. She also worries about Frankie, who's hungover again and on her third strike with Pearl at Price Slice, where she now works. Darren tells Jack he's being lenient with Frankie as they face JJ in court in a few days and he doesn't want what happened to Frankie in London to happen again. Leah's got into university in America to do a degree in legal studies. She is adamant she's going and advises Ste to consider taking her son on himself. Nancy then bumps into Ste and lets slip that Lucas is coming out of Young Offenders soon.

Peri tells Leela, Joel and Marie that she found Cleo's clothing all around his flat and it's clear that he's not over her. Marie shocks Leela and Joel when she tells Peri to go and talk to Abe and then reveals to Leela and Joel that she set the pair up in the first place. Darren worries about Frankie as she fell apart whilst in London on her own. Cleo returns to Abe with a first aid kit, unable to leave the flat. Misbah tells Ste that Lucas is in Young Offenders because he attacked JJ and that Rex has been visiting his bedside everyday for months. Marie defends Abe to the hilt.

Rex tells Grace that Ste's awake and wants to meet him, but he's worried he'll blame him for James dying. Grace reminds Rex that since she's found out that he's her half-brother she realises he has a heart of gold. Peri talks to Abe about Cleo and is reassured that she isn't a rebound. She then notices that Abe's bleeding and checks the wound. They end up having sex as Cleo is locked back up in the eaves. Jack is caught by Darren, Frankie and Nancy meeting JJ. Frankie doesn't hold back in speaking her mind to JJ. When Abe returns to Cleo, she tells him that she realises she's not ready to go out into the real world. Abe pushes her when she tries to touch him and she's knocked unconscious after hitting her head. Ste tells Leela he wants to make Rex suffer.
