Synopsis

Both Warren and Cleo plan their escape from the village, with Dave and Abe in pursuit respectively. Donny tries to save a kidnapped Misbah, while Ethan and Ste both make a discovery about their loved ones.

Plot

Police swarm the village looking for the escaped Warren. Ste, Donny and Warren discuss the plan; Warren will go to a meet up point, and Blue will release Misbah in exchange for him. James gets a letter containing details of his MRI scan from his car, unaware of the bomb. Cleo plans her escape, having taken Abe's phone and tablet. Misbah tries to appeal to the good she believes she sees in Rex, but he decides to move her to another location. Grace doesn't believe Warren will hold up his side of the deal, and while the others discuss Blue's distinctive helmet, Donny reminds them that no one is to make any moves until he confirms Misbah is safe. Mercedes tells her family she's leaving the village with Warren and the twins, and says her goodbyes despite their disapproval. Warren meets with Joel on the back road to explain that he didn't kill Norma, but had to confess under threat from Blue. Mercedes turns up and tells Warren to break his deal with Donny, as they load up the car. Cleo finds out Mercedes is leaving the village, but misses her chance to leave with her when the car speeds past her.

Believing they've spotted Blue, Grace and Freddie accost a biker outside the hospital, despite Donny's earlier instruction. Unmasking the biker as Dave, who claims ignorance to the accusations, Freddie notices his helmet doesn't have the distinctive markings. As Donny worries that Warren has ran off with Mercedes, Dave contacts Rex to update him. Dave tells Rex to get rid of Misbah while he deals with the rest of Warren's allies. Misbah tries to connect with Rex again, this time as a mother. Rex claims he has no mother, and knows he's in too deep. Joel and Prince speak to Cleo as she waits for a bus. When Abe approaches aggressively, and tries to physically stop Cleo from leaving, the other men step in. Once on the bus, Cleo phones Mercedes asking for help. Dave works out that Warren is on his way to the ferry terminal, and plans to track him down. Rex questions him over his plans for Ste and the others, then passes Ethan as he leaves the flat. After interrogating Dave over why they were together, Ethan works out that Dave is Blue.

In The Dog, Sienna has learnt of Warren's abscondence, and confides in Ethan, who asks her if she's seen Dave. Cleo gets off at a random bus stop, and again, phones Mercedes, leaving a message asking if she can go with her and Warren. Abe suddenly appears and interrupts the message. Having seen him outside the hospital earlier, Ste visits James. Eventually, James admits the truth about believing he has a brain tumour. Outside The Dog, Misbah appears, seemingly released by Rex. She slaps Donny for getting her into danger, then embraces him. Mercedes listens to Cleo's voicemail, then convinces Warren to meet Cleo at Embermire Woods. Abe physically and verbally abuses Cleo, forcing her to say she's lucky to have him. Suddenly, Dave turns up on his motorbike, and Cleo begs him to get her away from Abe and to Mercedes. With a direct path to Warren, Dave agrees, and punches Abe. As Dave and Cleo depart on the motorbike, Abe follows in his truck.

Ethan ponders on the idea of not knowing your family, then asks Sienna if she's seen Dave. Sienna hasn't, but suggests that Dave could never get himself into too much trouble.
"Fire"	Barns Courtney	Mercedes listens to Cleo's voicemail, then convinces Warren to meet Cleo at Embermire Woods. Abe physically and verbally abuses Cleo. Dave turns up on his motorbike, and Cleo begs him to get her away from Abe and to Mercedes. With a direct path to Warren, Dave agrees. As Dave and Cleo depart on the motorbike, Abe follows in his truck.
