Synopsis
Kitty tells Dave the truth. Abe is unsympathetic towards Cleo. Martha and Jeremy recall the past.Plot
John Paul and Sally are worried about Cleo. Martha pays Jeremy a visit in the toilets, where he blames her for how he's turned out and claims that his own psychiatrist even linked his behaviour back to her. Pearl and Zoe share an emotional moment together at the hospital. Abe buys Cleo a dressy outfit to put her in the mood for baby making, but that's the last thing on her mind as she's not feeling very good. Abe's offended and storms off. Jeremy recalls how he once told Martha that he loved her but she didn't say it back and it felt like a door in his heart had closed. Martha admits that she considered running away with Jeremy to start a new life away from an abusive Charles but couldn't bring herself to.
Cleo tells Abe that she doesn't think they're in the right place to have a baby. He accuses her of ruining their perfect afternoon. When Prince visits Zoe, she asks them to forget about their kiss earlier. He agrees to before suggesting they both go and see Theo together. At The Dog in the Pond, Abe tells Joel that Cleo's relapsed. Theresa overhears the conversation and wants to go and tell the McQueens but is stopped by Abe. Cleo walks in and isn't happy to see Abe and Theresa together. Kitty tells Cindy that she got Lizzie pregnant.
Joel tells Cleo that nothing happened between Abe and Theresa and Abe hopes that he and Cleo can enjoy their afternoon together, but it isn't long before he's controlling her again and forcing her to eat at the pub. She becomes overwhelmed and eventually runs off. Cindy sits Dave down and Kitty recalls to them both how she had a brief relationship with Lizzie pre-transition, with his granddaughter being the product of it. She wants to make amends and is willing to help track down the child and get Dave legal guardianship should he want it. Cleo admits to Abe that their relationship feels uneven. He reassures her they'll figure things out. Prince ignores a phone call from Dilly as he spends time with Zoe and Theo in NICU. Martha decides to leave and asks Jeremy to do a better job at being parent than she did. Cleo's shocked when Abe hires her an escort for the night.Cast
