Synopsis
Theresa attempts to reconcile Mercedes and the rest of the family, Anthony and Arlo enact their revenge on Ro, Jez supports Sienna, and Darren wants to make sure Frankie is telling the truth ahead of Nancy's trial.Plot
Diane reminds Tony about the cider tasting and quiz event at the pub, but Tony is upset that Beau still won't see him. Anthony asks Ro if he's sure it's safe to meet with "Ash". When Ro repeats some of the relatable language "Ash" has used online, Anthony is surprised. Nancy remains practical about the future, telling Darren that even if she's found not guilty, social services may not allow her to live with the twins, which will force Darren to make a choice. Darren assures Nancy he'll prove her innocence. Diane tells Tony he can't force Beau to accept help, and encourages him to carry on supporting the family he has. Theresa offers support to Mercedes in the village, saying she believes the family should've attended the naming ceremony for the twins. Sienna is unsure how to inform Sophie and Sebastian about Norma's death. Darren tells JJ and Frankie he's proud of their achievements, but first they need to get through the trial. Frankie says she ready, but despite some attempted deterrence by JJ, Darren insists he wants Frankie to go over what she's going to say, as Nancy's future is at stake.
At The Folly, Arlo reveals he's using phrases from forums to talk to Ro online. When Ro appears, Arlo throws eggs at him as Anthony films. Ro is upset he'll have to cancel plans with "Ash", to Arlo's amusement. Anthony is left conflicted when Ro challenges him over following Arlo's lead. Frankie inadvertently uses the word "slipped" when retelling her version of events, which Darren questions her on. JJ accuses Darren of trying to change Frankie's story. Suzanne enters and berates Darren for not believing Frankie. Darren suggests Frankie is confused or covering for someone. The arguing leads Frankie to go to her bedroom. Diane appears tempted by the glass of wine she serves Marie. Tony resolves to be more supportive of his family, and to take care of Diane, leaving Marie envious. Theresa brings Mercedes to the McQueen house, telling the family that she deserves another chance. Prince refuses to forgive Mercedes for associating with the man who caused Hunter's death.
Anthony suggests deleting the "Ash" profile, but when Arlo disagrees and uses phrases like "imaginary boy" and "freak" to describe Ro, Anthony pins him against the wall, says they aren't mates and calls Arlo the "freak". Jez supports Sienna when informing Sophie and Sebastian about Norma's death, by using a story about flowers as a metaphor. Sienna thanks him, and Jez excuses himself, leaving with a sombre facial expression. JJ checks on Frankie, to make sure she's still planning to lie to protect him at the hearing. Frankie shows support for JJ, suggesting they'll both be able to escape soon. Anthony apologises to Ro, revealing he has stood up to Arlo in defence of his brother. The family check the pub's socials following Tony's event, but see a photo of Ro, binding. An upset Ro reveals it has been shared without his consent, but Diane is furious over what he's been doing.Cast
