Episode 6438 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Monday 12th August 2024.
Synopsis
Warren throws a barbeque for the neighbours. While Donny sees this as an opportunity to investigate, Dave has a brief change of heart, before Warren makes two shocking discoveries.Plot
Dave tells Rex to sell the drugs they stole of Warren, assuring him they're going to make Warren suffer. Mercedes misses her family, so Warren plans a barbeque with the neighbours. Misbah questions Donny on his suspects for "Blue", and Donny explains it's because they all either hate Warren or are part of his inner circle. Leela becomes distressed when Joel tells her he's agreed for them to godparents to Warren and Mercedes' twins without discussing it with her. When Leela tells Joel they need to start communicating, Joel walks out. At the BBQ, Misbah tells Mercedes and Cindy she's just getting to know Donny, but her faith is a factor. Dave tells Donny he believes Warren has changed, having put Warren's involvement in Lizzie's death behind him, admitting that initially going off the rails nearly destroyed his family. Joel purchases heroin, revealed to be from the supply Rex stole from Warren.
Warren confesses to Dave and Donny that he hopes the shooter won't resurface, admitting he's surprised by the fact he wants a quiet family life with Mercedes and their daughters. Dave offers to check on the twins when one starts crying. Joel lets himself into Warren's old flat and injects himself, unaware of the presence of Norma's body. Donny searches Warren's house, pocketing something he finds in a drawer, then finds Dave in the twins' nursery. Dave reflects on the birth of Sam, describing having a child as always having something to look forward to, then on Lizzie's death. Donny suggests that Warren has the potential to be a good father, if he's serious about reforming, leaving Dave conflicted.
Warren tells Donny his biggest fear is being pushed too far, and the repercussions that could have for the person who does it, which is overheard by Dave. Donny asks if Warren is going to be able to move on from his old life, and Warren claims he will because of Mercedes and the chance to be a father again. Dave quietly exits, then at home, arranges to meet Rex in The Dog carpark. Dave tells Rex that they're no longer targeting Warren, due to him having kids and trying to live an ordinary life. An unhappy Rex cuts ties with Dave. Dave goes to dispose of Norma's body, but finds a drugged-out, barely conscious Joel, and rethinks just what kind of father Warren is.
Leela asks Warren if she's seen Joel. Warren sees movement in the flat, and assumes it's him. Donny shows Misbah he found a burner phone in Warren's flat, which he plans to use to set a trap for "Blue". Dave acts friendly towards Warren, before Warren lets himself into his flat. Warren finds Joel, and his drug paraphernalia. Whilst trying to help Joel, Warren finds Norma's body and the note, "I'm Coming For You", and realises that "Blue" is still targeting him. Dave watches on as police start arriving at the scene.Music
