Synopsis
Zoe's suspicions about Kitty rise, and Joel's struggle to come to terms with Noah's death leads him to revisit a demon from his past.Plot
Leela is surprised by how dark the contents of Joel's diary are. Norma has sent a "Guardian Angel" rose for the family to plant in memory of Noah. Norma's note also implies she's left for Tuscany, but her body still lies in the flat. Joel sits at Noah's grave, and laments the fact the funeral hasn't given him closure. Zoe informs Kitty that someone has reported her missing again. Kitty explains she used to live with someone abusive, that she ran from, but feels she'll never be free of. Zoe apologises for upsetting her, but mentions her file states she's supposed to have a distinctive tattoo. Kitty lies she had it lasered. Diane offers Zoe one of Eva's old car seats. Dave apologises to Cindy for sleeping with a sex worker, but Cindy states they are over. Leela shows Joel the rose bush from Norma, and they plan a picnic. While retrieving the car seat, Diane is surprised to find that the boot of her car has been cleaned, but Zoe is suspicious as she can smell bleach, asking if Kitty ever uses the car. Diane confirms she does. Joel becomes distressed when he knocks over Noah's rose bush, and makes a phone call after Leela leaves for the picnic.
Beau panics that Zoe is onto Kitty's stolen identity, which will lead her to Declan. Kitty attempts to assauge his worries, but Beau says he can't forget what they did to Declan, and walks out. Ethan stops Leah from entering an over-18s event in The Loft. Vicky decides to go in alone, with the intention of pulling Ethan. Leela gets a message from Joel saying Abe has occupied him, so he won't make it to the picnic. Beau drinks at Hunter's grave, and refers to Hunter having something in the grave with him, which is overheard by Zoe. Beau evades her questions, but Zoe mentions that she's seen Kitty at the grave a few times, which she finds odd, as she and Hunter were never close. Joel is almost caught purchasing drugs by Peri. A conversation with Peri in Price Slice makes Cindy reconsider taking Dave back. In The Loft, Vicky tries to flirt with Ethan and grabs his phone to put her number into. Ethan suggests she'd be better of going home. Cindy returns home to find that Dave has cooked for her, so Cindy asks him to stay, and kisses him. At the station, Zoe relays her suspicions that Kitty isn't who she says she is, and her theory that she may have killed the real Kitty Draper and buried her in Hunter McQueen's grave, to DI Banks. Joel collapses on the village steps, having injected himself with heroin.Cast
