Synopsis
Frankie is fearful for Lexi's safety around JJ, Theresa decides to follow Mercedes to find out if she's back with Warren, and Diane reacts poorly to her surprise birthday party.Plot
Darren decides Frankie will spend the summer in London with Hannah, as he can't trust her around JJ and Lexi. John Paul and Theresa are convinced Mercedes is back with Warren, but Theresa decides to follow Mercedes to get evidence. Tony tells Diane he has a surprise planned for her birthday. Ro gives Diane a birthday card, but Tony implies there's another gift coming. Ro winces in pain as Diane hugs him, and when Ro rushes out, an upset Diane looks upon a bottle of wine she's received as a gift. In Price Slice, JJ is annoyed when he finds out from a delighted Frankie that she's being sent to London. Mercedes overhears Warren telling Norma he's still convinced Freddie is Blue, and becomes suspicious of Rex when he brings up Freddie's coma. Warren assures Mercedes he had nothing to do with it. Warren tries to get close to Mercedes, but she spots Theresa spying on them. Arlo continues to taunt Ro at basketball practice, then spots tape hanging out of Ro's shirt.
At home, Frankie becomes tense when she sees JJ get close to Lexi, and tells Darren she won't move to London after all. Anthony questions Ro about why Arlo was going on about tape, so Ro tells him about binding. Tony interrupts and they lie Ro needs a new basketball, but Diane assumes the son in need is Anthony. Diane again gets a bottle of wine from the fridge. Suzanne and Darren try to find out why Frankie suddenly doesn't want to leave. Frankie says she wants to get to know Lexi, and lies that she was jealous of JJ and wanted attention, which is why she said what she said. Darren tells her she needs to get forgiveness from JJ, so she apologises. JJ makes her confirm that she wants to stay to be with him, and he agrees to forgive her. Norma tells Warren she's going to Tuscany on business, but Warren becomes distracted when he's convinced someone has moved things around in the flat.
Diane is unenthused by her surprise party, saying she'd rather just get another drink. Tony challenges her drinking, but Diane admits to needing an escape from everything. When Ro take this personally, Diane tells him not to twist her words. Ro decides to leave, but first sends Diane the birthday message he'd saved up for, from the presenter of a show they watch together. When confronted by JJ, Frankie admits she's staying to protect Lexi from him; a thought which disgusts JJ. Arlo makes transphobic comments to Ro again, and suggests Diane perhaps feels the same way. Cindy claims to not be bothered by Dave's presence at the party, and there's an acknowledgement between Rex and Dave. Theresa questions Rex about Mercedes and Warren, but he claims they aren't together. John Paul and Theresa both believe Rex fancies them, so they make a bet to see who can land a date with him first. It transpires that Warren told Rex to say what he did. Warren then mistakenly refers to Mercedes' twins as Sophie and Sebastian, but blames tiredness. Frankie visits a comatose Freddie, and asks him to wake up, admitting her fear of history repeating itself with Lexi being around JJ. Freddie seemingly begins to wake up.Cast
