Synopsis

Sienna is shocked to see Martha at a care home, an attempt to rid herself of JJ leaves Frankie under question, and Diane is feeling overwhelmed by conflicting advice.

Plot

Frankie sits on her bed and ignores a call from Darren, as JJ lies unconscious on the kitchen floor. She overhears Darren enter the house, and places her headphones over her ears, as Darren calls an ambulance. Diane finishes a glass of wine, and pours herself another, which is noticed by Tony. Ro discretely despairs at the shape his shadow makes, and comments that he can't wait two years. Diane tries to comfort him, but in doing so, suggests he may feel differently about everything once that time has passed. Frankie enters the kitchen and feigns shock at JJ's condition when questioned by Darren. JJ starts to stir and regain consciousness. Ro asks Kitty about binding, but she advises him to speak to his parents about his fears about puberty before acting.

Sienna is shocked to find Martha is a resident at the care home she's delivering flowers to. Martha appears distressed and seemingly threatens Sienna, before Nurse Annie turns up and explains Martha has severe dementia. Arlo makes vile remarks to Ro, telling him he should go hang with the girls and making comments about his body. Suzanne phones Frankie to update her about JJ, but Frankie becomes distressed and hangs up when she discovers JJ will make a full recovery. Darren calls JJ the perfect son, then JJ becomes upset when he remembers Frankie left him. Frankie witnesses Jeremy covertly receiving a bag from a nurse outside the hospital. When he asks if she's visiting someone, Frankie replies that the person she's visiting should be dead, and Jeremy tells her she is more in control than the person lying in the hospital bed. Sienna appears asking to speak to Jeremy about his mother.

In The Dog, Nancy commends Diane and Tony for how they're handling Ro's situation, but her opinions that things shouldn't be so drawn out for trans youths frustrates Diane. Kitty then asks Diane to talk to Ro, frustrating her further. Grabbing another glass of wine, Diane tells Tony that the conflicting information is confusing her and making her feel useless. Maxine and Sienna offer Jeremy their support when he appears to get upset talking about how bad Martha's dementia has become, and his fears he will never make amends with her. In the hospital, it transpires that JJ has not told anyone that he remembers Frankie leaving him when he seized, but he makes he clear he does remember when he and Frankie are left alone.

Jeremy visits Martha, revealing he's lied about her having dementia, and injects her with the contents of the bag from earlier. It is evident that Jeremy is bribing Nurse Annie to keep Martha in the care home. Jeremy lays out his plans for the "Blake Sisters' Final Act", claiming he wants to get revenge for what Patrick did to him, but Martha begs him not to go through with it. Ro researches binding again, but is interrupted by Diane who tries to discuss what Kitty mentioned earlier. Ro says he's dealing with it by himself, and when he goes to bed, Diane reaches for a bottle of wine. At home, JJ tries to get close to Frankie. Frankie tells him to stop, or she'll tell Darren, but JJ threatens to tell everyone she left him to die. This causes Frankie to exclaim loudly that she didn't call an ambulance because she hates him and wants him to die, which is overheard by Darren, who angrily confronts her about her outburst.
