Synopsis

Information from Ethan leads to a dead end for Freddie and Mercedes, Zoe decides she will attend Hunter's funeral, and Tom's surprise for Misbah and Zain doesn't go to plan.

Plot

Freddie beats up a tied-up Ethan for information on Warren, but Ethan claims he doesn't know anything. Mercedes arrives and questions why Ethan is still there, so Freddie threatens him further with tools, resulting in Ethan revealing he's heard Warren talk about "Project KT". Freddie asks him where the van is. Zain tells Tom he could see how jealous Misbah was when Norma and Donny were on a date, but Tom encourages Zain to keep trying to repair his marriage. Dilly visits Zoe to ask why she's not going to the funeral. Norma bumps into Donny at the market, witnessed by Misbah, but gets pulled away by Warren who can't get in contact with Ethan. Tom finds Misbah and informs her he's planning a surprise date for her and Zain and convinces her to take part.

Having stayed with Cindy the previous night, Nancy discusses losing her job over Frankie's allegations. Cindy can't understand why Frankie and JJ would lie, and Dave tells Nancy to speak to Sally, because as her friend, Sally might understand. Misbah empathises with Zoe, telling Zoe she didn't attend her first husband's funeral either, but advises her not to risk having regrets. Freddie and Mercedes find Warren's van, and break in, finding only baby furniture.

Freddie visits Grace at prison to inform her the money hasn't been found, telling her they can't go through with the escape plan or get married tomorrow. Nancy arrives on school grounds, but Sally is forced to ask her to leave. Grace begs Freddie to go through with the wedding, blaming Mercedes for leading them down a false path with the van, and promising revenge on both her and Warren. Freddie agrees to still help Grace escape, so Grace tells him a friend will meet him with everything needed for the escape. Zoe tells Prince she will be going to Hunter's funeral, having spoke with both Dilly and Misbah.

Freddie meets Grace's friend and receives a bag, then tells Mercedes she's no longer part of the plan, due to wasting so much time. Mercedes reminds Freddie he and Grace promised her revenge on Warren, but Freddie tells her she'll have to go through with it alone. Misbah waits for Zain, with Tom's surprise date set up in the garden, but Donny arrives first. Misbah admits to being jealous of Donny and Norma, but Donny tells her she has no reason to be. Zain arrives just as Misbah and Donny are getting close. Warren and Norma find an injured Ethan at The Loft, who tells them Freddie tortured him for information about euros and admits to revealing the location of Warren's van. Warren swears revenge on Freddie. Freddie asks Robbie to let Lexi be ring-girl at his wedding to Grace. Checking the bag, Freddie finds Grace's plan for the wedding day, involving Cindy, passports and a gun concealed within a ring pillow.

General

The scene between Donny and Benny makes reference to former Channel 4 soap opera, Brookside. La Luz was the nightclub featured on Brookside in the early 1990s, and both actors previously starred in Brookside as characters who were friends.
