Synopsis
Mercedes and Freddie target Ethan as part of their plan to bring Warren down, Misbah and Zain crash Norma and Donny's date, and JJ convincing Frankie to lie leads to Nancy being charged with assault.Plot
Frankie is in hospital, with JJ by her bedside. Darren tells him it was just an accident, as Nancy said Frankie just fell in front of her, but JJ blames himself, wishing he had got to Frankie sooner. Warren is loading a van with boxes and is vague when Mercedes asks what he's doing, but she notices an acknowledgment between Warren and Ethan. Zain notices Misbah's discomfort when Donny talks about getting to know Norma better. Outside the hospital, Suzanne and JJ hear Nancy telling Darren how she was drunk when she confronted Frankie. Suzanne challenges Nancy's behaviour, and mentions that social services and the police will get involved now, distressing JJ.
Dilly, Theresa and Prince discuss music for Hunter's funeral. Zoe arrives, but announces she won't be attending. Mercedes tells Freddie she believes Warren is using the van to move the money. They see Warren park the van outside the garage, and witness Ethan exiting it. Frankie wakes up and starts remembering the details of fighting with JJ. JJ begs her not to tell anyone, and promises he'll stop hurting her if she lies that Nancy pushed her when questioned by the police.
Mercedes manages to steal Cindy's phone. Misbah and Zain come across Norma and Donny's date, and Norma invites them to join. Frankie tells Suzanne she has something important to tell her. At the house, Charlie has found Frankie's tablet, but it is password locked. Nancy recounts events with Darren and Jack, then the police arrive to inform her she's been accused of assault. Zain becomes more and more irritated by how friendly Misbah is towards Donny, then notices how upset she is when he leaves with Norma. Zain asks if she really wants to fight for them, and Misbah walks away, upset and looking back at Donny. Theresa and Dilly worry about Zoe deciding not to attend the funeral, but an exasperated Prince tells them to respect her decision.
PC Harvey informs Nancy that Frankie has said the assault happened after Nancy came home intoxicated and goes over the details, but Nancy denies there was any physical contact. Mercedes uses Cindy's phone to arrange a meeting with Ethan at the garage, and Freddie knocks him out. They plan to use Ethan to find out where the van and money are stashed, then, after Grace and Freddie make their getaway, Mercedes will get close to Warren and kill him. The family arrive home to find Nancy packing a bag. She informs them she's not allowed to stay at the house following the accusation, and asks Suzanne if she told Frankie and JJ to lie because of their previous argument. Nancy pleads her innocence as she leaves the house.Cast
